Feel like being robbed, literally? Then this is the place for you. On the morning of our check out 6/1/2019 we put items in our vehicle. We returned 45 minutes later. The back window of our vehicle was smashed out and several items were removed. This was not an isolated incident at random. Someone cased the parking lot, watched, then made their move. When I was up front checking out my husband let me know. I ran outside and called the cops. Later, My husband was talking to the lady at the front desk while I was calling the cops and She said she would get a hold of the general manager. My husband waited 10-15 minutes. He asked the lady about the manager. She said she was busy helping another guest and she was told by the manager that they were not responsible for theft in the parking lot. There was no cause for concern, no cause for emergency, no help in trying to contact the police. Upon talking to the maintenance guy, he stated he was robbed from parking in the same spot. The other employee who worked up front, came outside and told us we should have parked up front. There is no parking up front other than the driveway to check in where employees were parked blocking the driveway the night we checked in. When the employee stated that we should not have parked where we did at all which felt like I was being blamed. She then informed us it's a bad spot because people get their cars broken into. So I asked her why weren't we notified upon check in. There was literally no where else to park. I also asked if it happened often. She said it has before. I also asked where was the security guy that was working the night before. She stated his shift ended at 6:30 am. . I asked why there wasn't another security patrol on duty. I told her we parked next to the security officer and he never stated it was a bad spot. I also asked her why they never took preventative measures to ensure the safety of their guest? Why were cameras never installed? Why is security only on patrol during certain hours and why would they not warn me to not park in a particular spot. Why were zero measures taken to protect guests, to warn them knowing there was an issue. Why weren't cameras installed as a precaution knowing there was an issue. Be aware when there. Someone was watching, waiting and targeted us. This was not a random incident. The employee customer service was terrible in general. When I walked in at 11:30 the night we checked in there were 4 employees at the desk talking and it took a few minutes to acknowledge me. The lady that checked me in was not friendly at all. When I was trying to use the business center to change all my passwords after being robbed because my laptop was stolen I was frustrated because none of the computers worked well. Took me 5 minutes to get to a login screen because it was dragging. When I expressed my frustration to the lady up front snapped at me and responded to me we all had to deal with it. Two elevators and one did not work. The other sounded as though it was on the verge of breaking too. The door would open and shut several times before it would work if it decided to work at all. Had to take the stairs twice to the the 6 th floor. You will not be a guest here but more ofa victim. I will never stay at another Hyatt. Guests are not important nor their...

I really enjoyed our stay at the HP Albuquerque Uptown versus other Hyatt Place properties we've stayed at recently. The front desk receptionist was warm and welcoming and proactively offered us a preferred room and late checkout as a benefit of Hyatt status. The room was larger than other HP rooms we've stayed in and was in good shape inside. TV was an up to date thin panel with easy to access HDMI ports on the side. Unlike some of the other rooms we've been in recently, both the refrigerator and air conditioner were quiet and non obtrusive. Fixtures were all in great shape and water was hot and plentiful.

Outside the room, the hotel is in great shape with good lighting in the hallways and modern elevators. The breakfast was avocado toast with oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, etc. single serving packages available as well. We had breakfast fairly late and there was still plenty of options available.

Beyond the hotel, the location had convenient access to restaurants in walking distance, along with a Trader Joe's just a bit to thr south. Access to the freeway is also great. Though a bit further from the airport versus the airport HP, I'm considering moving my stays here for the better access to restaurants and the improved maintenance of the property.

Edit: my previous review was for room 602, which I have stayed in twice so far with no issues. My last stay was in room 503 which smells of mildew near the bed and which gave me a runny nose while I tried to sleep. If you're sensitive to mildew or mold smells, make sure to check in earlier before the other rooms are sold out so that you can change room if needed. I checked in for a late night arrival and rooms availability was limited. Given the dry climate here, I'd suspect there's a water leak somewhere inside that has resulted in the smell, and multiple rooms may be affected; the smell being strongest neat the bed may indicate it's coming from water damage from the shower in the adjacent room, based on...

Apologies for the long post. Starting with solutions: I should have received a phone call or text to prepare me for the room maintenance. I should not have been inconvenienced with the unnecessary stress. No guest should be met in a Hyatt room with stained pillowcases and sheets. Buy new washer/dryers. Hire a manager to check the cleaning staff’s work. Inspect/audit the rooms.

The problem : I checked in Friday May 2, 2025. I reported to the front counter that the water pressure in the bathroom was low Saturday morning in Room 207. The toilet was not flushing properly. The shower was draining slow. Additionally, there were stains on a pillow case and bedsheet. I showed pictures to Ms. Tawakie and she said she would take care of it. I returned to clean sheets on the bed and thought the issue was resolved.

The next day I returned from a funeral to a room in utter disarray. The toilet was moved, mechanical equipment was in the room. When I went to the front counter, the staff offered to move me to another room and asked if I wanted a free drink or some points.

I replied I believe in paying for what I get. I also believe in getting what I pay for. I don’t see the Hyatt brand at ABQ Hyatt Place Uptown. Room 209 (the new room) also had a stained pillowcase and the slider to the closet did not working properly.

While I was at the front counter on Saturday another customer asked if she could get a replacement for the coffee maker in her room because the one she had was broken. Why wasn’t that noticed and corrected before assigning the room?

My larger concern is that I wrote to Hyatt informing them of these red flags and did not receive any response. I have subsequently stated for a week at Spark by Hilton in Las Vegas which is night and day from Hyatt Place. Hilton has restored my confidence in true hospitality. Hilton...

Nice setup, more than necessary room utilization. Loved that there was a living room with kitchen & tv. Also, tv in seperate bedroom. Probably Great for a family stay.
