The worst place to go!! We received a gift card as a gift and decided to try this place out, having high hopes. We placed a pickup order over the phone, which was horrible. The lady on the phone who was taking our order was very rude and not helpful at all. And to make it worse, we could barely even hear her because of their phone. She took our order, told us we would get a text message, and said it should be ready in about 30-35 minutes. Once we received the text, we clicked on the link to make sure our order was correct and realized it wasn't placed; it was only started, and we had to pay in order for them to receive the order (would have been nice to know that). We tried to add the gift card, but there was no way to add it as the only option was a coupon code or a credit card. We called the store back to see if we just pay once we get to the store or how to go about using the gift card. The girl we spoke to had no idea how to answer that, so she got her manager, which for him being the manager, he wasn't very helpful either. He basically stated he had no idea how to help us and that we could pay once we got to the store (which was fine by us). Once we arrived at the store and said we had a pick-up order, we were told they had no order under our name and number, even though we got a confirmation message. They then brought over their manager (which we spoke to over the phone). He then proceeded to say he had no idea who we were and denied talking on the phone with us and blamed it on us, saying we probably sent it to the wrong store... Which we didn't because there is only one location here, and we showed him the exact message that showed with the order and location. He still tried to argue that he had no idea and hadn't spoken to anyone about this order or issue, so we had to place our order all over again and wait another 30 minutes to get our order. This place, their managers, and their staff are very rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional. We will not be coming...
Read moreThis review is purely based off the service we were provided by the hostess and then nothing being done about her behavior after I spoke to the manager Gabe. My friend, son, and I went to eat at CPK yesterday for a late lunch. When we walked in we stood behind a family waiting to be sat and then another person came in and stood behind us. When the hostess returned she ignored our party and literally walked past us and her podium and asked the woman behind us how many were in her party then told her right this way. I said "Excuse me we were here first." The hostess turned around and rudely said, "Can't I just seat her first." Usually, I wouldn't allow this to upset me but with no apology and rudeness this was not okay. The hostess was adamant about seating the party behind us first demanding that she was not wrong. Claiming that she didn't know who was first so she just picked someone. Ummm shouldn't you ask if you don't know and clearly we were first if we are the first in a line. Anyway we asked for a manager and Gabe who is a shift manager came to us to apologize and seat us. The entire time the hostess tried interrupting the conversation the manager and I were having. I had to put a stop to her interrupting because it was clear he wasn't worried about her behavior and tone we a customer. This girl needs a serious schooling on her job expectations and proper customer service. I would also suggest to the manager that after something like this happens you should at least check back with the customers during their meal to see if everything is okay since and put your employees in check when the time calls for it. Their behavior reflects poorly on you as a manager. Poor customer service. I'll be contacting...
Read moreI first went to a California pizza Kitchen when I was visiting in Chicago and it was amazing. However, at this location I had a horrible experience. My wife and I walked in behind two other groups of people. My wife and I are hispanic and the other groups that were in the restaurant were primary caucasian. All of the servers were also caucasian. They did not greet us like they greeted the other groups. The front lady simply walked us to a table and placed the menus down and walked away. She did not say anything nor offered us drinks. I was observant and gave them the benefit of the doubt. I watched other groups of people come in (mainly caucasian) and were seated and greeted very warmly. I felt uncomfortable and so did my wife. Fifteen minutes later and I see other groups of people that walked in after us already ordering their food. My wife signals the lady that took us to our table and she only looked at us and did not walked to us or anything. At that point I felt we were being treated differently. My wife and I got up to leave and the lady that took us to our table had the audacity to go and open the door for us as if she was happy we were leaving. She did not say a single word and just opened the door. I felt this was extremely rude and disappointing. This is the first time I have been treated this way and it felt awful. I highly recommend the staff to review their customer service skills and treat everyone equally. I usually tip very well so I guessed they missed out...
