When my husband I came to Rebecca we had a bad experience with our previous lawyer who hadn’t done any work. I was extremely weary. Rebecca showed me that there are good lawyers out there. She handled my husband’s case with ease. Her and her paralegal, Laura, did an amazing job on my case. Her team was professional and knowledgeable. They processed our documents fast. At one point homeland security came and took my husband. Their team blew up their telephone line and Rebecca showed up to the center to get him out and they did let him go. During interrogation they had my husband sign documents he didn’t understand that could have led to his deportation because he signed away his rights but she got all of that thrown out. She knew what she was doing and it really showed when we needed it. Afterwards my husband had two more appointments with ice. I don’t remember why. He was scared and wanted her to go with him so she did. When it came time to do the interview she prepared us well and went with us to the interview. She knew the different officers. From start to finish she helped us and was invested. The reason I am writing this review now is I recommended her to a friend and realized I never wrote a review. Rebecca is a good person who is an even better lawyer. If you want someone who is honest and good, choose her. My husband is Muslim and Algerian and she never discriminated. Me and my family are extremely grateful for this firm and their staff! The pandemic definitely slowed my mother’s green card process down but we stayed patient and my mom finally ended up a lawful permanent resident! This is something that when we first started the process, we didn’t think it was going to be successful but we said screw it and gave this firm a try after doing a lot of research over various different immigration attorneys across NM. We started this process when I turned 21 and now I am 24 so it did take awhile but I am extremely glad we made the decision of choosing Rebecca Kitson Law because they are cautious and very detailed in making sure everything runs smoothly. Getting my mother her green card was definitely one of the best and most relieving days of my life, no matter the time or the money we spent, it was definitely worth it. I would like to specifically thank the attorney Valeria, Rebecca, and Kaitlin in assisting with my moms case. However, Elise (our case manager) was the staff member who really made the difference. I usually do not leave reviews, but would love to share my amazing story with you. I applied for my parents immigrant visa in 2017 with Rebecca Kitson Law Firm. Because of first travel ban executive order, my parents got their visa interviews in Feb 2020. In past 3 years I didn’t loose my hope because of Laura and Elise Payette regularly following up. Finally they got their visas 6 months ago, but because of Covid-19 they couldn’t travel to U.S. till last week before their visas get expired. They got couple tickets but 5 hours before departure, they got phone call from airline and told them because of new travel ban executive order, you are not allowed to travel to U.S. just citizens and green card holders can travel. Right away I called Elise and explained the situation. She promised me to do her best to help us. Elise and Roxie wrote an awesome waiver to CBP and asked them to let my parents in. I was disappointed and there was no chance they can get approved, but because of their effort and high responsibility, we got that waiver.
