We went to dinner last night, 8-23-25, at the Melting Pot for my birthday. It is a place I usually really enjoy, and my husband wanted to make it special for me. My husband and I arrived on time at 8:00pm and were sat at our table within under 5 minutes. At our table there were menu’s so my husband and I started to talk about and plan our meal. It took our server 10 minutes to even acknowledge us. When he did, he apologized for the wait and told us two times he would be right with us. After about 10 more minutes, he arrived at our table to get our drink order. He stated that his handheld was broken so he had to take our order with pen and paper. At first, I was okay, things happen, people run late. I’ve worked in service so I know how it can be sometimes. We gave him our drink order, and our dinner order since we had time to look at the menu after waiting so long, then off he went. About ten minutes later, he dropped off our waters and left again. We then waited another 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. At this point we have just been sitting there with a glass of water for about 30 minutes, it is now 8:30 and server drops off our drinks and tells us he lost our order and he took it again. I was still not upset, again I understand things happen. After we got our watered down drinks, we waited another 25 minutes for our appetizer to arrive. We had now sat 55 minutes with water and a drink. At this point I was starting to get a little annoyed. No one even stopped by our table to ask if we needed more water, or drinks, or anything. Finally, at 8:55pm we had something to eat. Our server forgot to bring us plates so he rushed back to the back to get some. When he gave them to us they were dripping with water and water got my dress wet, the table wet and dripped onto our seats! I had to use my napkin to dry them off so we could use them! Our appetizer tasted okay, nothing too great. As we were still eating our appetizer, our server dropped off our salad. This was also a huge disappointment. It was clearly a salad mix that had been rinsed and was given to us wet, with a huge amount of excess water dripping from the plate. The lettuce was also wilted and brown. My husband and I didn’t eat it as it was wet and tasted gross. Next, our server brought out our entree. He dropped it off without an explanation or instructions. Good thing I had been there before and was aware of what to do. But this is what finally got me. Once again he gave us wet plates!! But not only were they wet, they were dirty!! I was so disgusted and upset at this point, I began to cry. It was my special birthday dinner with my husband and the server had completely ruined it. He took 30 minutes to get us drinks, an hour to get us an appetizer, and our entree was given to us to eat on dirty, wet plates. My husband saw that I was upset and asked for the check. We didn’t even eat our entree!! When our check came, our server charged us for the complete 4 course meal even though we didn’t eat the entree or the dessert. So my husband questioned the server and he brought out some fruit and literally on ounce of chocolate in a to go box! It was despicable. We paid our bill and left. We had spent over an hour there with the worst service we had ever received and didn’t even get to eat! It was now well after 9:30 pm and it was too late to eat at another restaurant. Please note my husband and I are very kind people, we were dressed well, and the restaurant was not very busy. I am so disheartened that my birthday dinner was ruined with poor service. We spent over $150 for two drinks, a mediocre appetizer, some wet, brown salads and entrees that were given us to eat with dirty dishes! Also, the bathroom was disgusting with dirty toilets and faucets with crusty brown stuff under the faucet handle. I have never had such a horrible dining experience in my life. I will never eat there again and I will tell all my friends and family to do the same. It is completely disheartening that we had to experience this when we were trying to celebrate a special occasion.

My wife and I have been talking about trying out a dinner at Melting Pot for many years. This year my wife decided it was time and looked at booking a reservation during the Valentines Day holiday week. Unfortunately their prices were doubled during that time, so we had to wait until last night (2-19-24) to visit. We arrived for our 4:30 reservation a bit early. The tiny lobby's floor was damaged and the overhead lamp appeared to be broken. They made us wait to be seated until the reservation time even though there was nobody else waiting, and the restaurant was pretty empty. Our server was very nice and attentive, and that's why I'm giving them two stars instead of one. The menu was confusing, and the restaurant was very loud, so it was hard to concentrate enough to figure out what to order. We managed though, and ordered the four course meal experience. The first course was a pot of melted cheese with bread and veggies to dip. This seemed ok, but the cheese was delivered cold and it took awhile for it to heat at the table. The second course was a salad, which was also ok. The lettuce was not very fresh, and the dressing provided was very scant. Next came the meats, served with a side of disaster. One of the meats I received was tuna. The server warned me to not eat it raw. What she didn't say is that it was poison, and I should not have ate it at all. (BTW, boiling my meat isn't really my preparation of choice. Grilling seems so much better that I'm not sure why this place is popular and so expense?) Even though I cooked the tuna chunks for over five minutes in the boiling soup provided, and it was the consistency of pork when I ate it, I quickly knew eating it was a big mistake. Less than two hours later I was really sick, and I knew why. It is has been a long time since I've had food poisoning, but boy did I get it from this meal! Desert was some melted chocolate with various fruits and desert bars to dip. It was actually the best part of the meal. Dinner for two here with no alcohol was $170 with the tip included. As an added surprise, they added a 3% kitchen surcharge, "for our kitchen staff to provide a sustainable living wage." I think a restaurant that charges this much for a meal should be able to pay their kitchen staff without an extra charge. Maybe if they did, the staff would be more professional in their food handling, and I would not have been poisoned by the meal they provided. We will not be back.

Love this place..it is pricey but a great experience. All the staff we met tonight were very friendly and helpful. DEFINATELY would recommend and return. Thank you Tyler (our awesome server)! This is not a restaurant you want to eat fast and be in and out. For the full experience at least allow for a couple hours. The managers constantly checked on us to make sure all was well. That is very appreciated. Made reservations online which made it easier just called once restaurant opened to verify and it was accepted. You will spend at least $45 dollars a course here per person or you can purchase things individually like just cheese fondue, or their yummy chocolate dessert fondue selection. I recommend doing the full 4 course..this allows you to try something from each section (cheese, salad, entree, dessert) you have many choices on the fondues. You are even in control of the cooking method. Fry in Oil, boil in wine and herbs, tempura..etc. It's very interactive, so as I said before, come here with time and enjoy yourself.... P.S It's kind of dark inside but makes for great ambiance..very romantic in my opinion. Oh..i forgot if your a real chocolate lover and want to partake in a cocktail..the YING YANG is BOMB!!! You'll thank me later....YOU'RE WELCOME! 😆

NOT WORTH THE RISK AND/OR MONEY. FOOD ALLERGIES NOT WELCOMED!

Disappointed. I will not be recommending the Melting Pot anytime soon... especially with someone with a food allergy.

I first want to say I wouldn't want to some one to go through what I went through. (If you have a food allergy...you will know what I mean...) Secondly, the waitress my Fiance and I had, Killion, was very nice and social. Her service it's self was great. She was on top of it and was very friendly... BUT that doesn't excuse the neglance of the restaurant or her possible mistake.

About a week ago I went to the Melting Pot with my Fiance. We were very excited to go since it was our first time. And my parents gave us a couples coupon to use for our dinner. Our friends love the melting pot, so we decided to try it.

Prior to going my fiance made a reservation and informed the staff I am EXTREMELY allergic to MUSHROOMS. (We always call Restaurants before going to New places because my mushroom allergy is really bad and we don't want any issues or hospital visits)

The staff informed my fiance it would not be an issue and they would make a note of it.

Fast forward to when we got to our table. I informed Killion (our waitress) that I was extremely allergic to mushrooms. But through out our meal she kept recommending things with mushrooms. My fiance and I had to tell her multiple times I was extremely allergic to them, in which she'd replied 'oh yah'...

Anyway, Everything was going fine till the main dish came out....guess what was there...you guess it... MUSHROOMS!!! My fiance informed Killion AGAIN I couldn't eat the ingredients she brought, and I requested she get fresh clean veggies that were not near the Mushrooms. Killion went and got new ones...and Everything was fine...we thought.

When I got home I had a huge allergic reaction and food poiosing. I got extremely sick and had to use my EpiPen. It was very scary.

I had food poiosing for the whole weekend. I then broke out in hives on my stomach, face and neck and My throat swelled.

What I think happened is when I requested new veggies.. the staff only took out the mushrooms and brought back the veggies that cross- contacted the mushrooms...in hence caused an alleric reaction.

On Monday when I was feeling better and could talk again since the swelling went down. I called the melting pot and requested to speak to a manager to inform the of what happened. I was told by the manager on shift that night they would talk to Killion and the MG on Tuesday. They also told me they had multiple notes saying I was allergic to mushrooms prior to seating us. The manager informed they would call back on Tuesday with an update.

On Wednesday I called again because no one called me back Tuesday...I was told by another manger they had no idea of the event I was calling about...and the MG was never informed. I gave my fiance's information to look up our reservation from Friday...and they said there was a note about me being allergic to mushrooms. They also told me the MG wasn't even in the restaurant on Tuesday. The manager then out me on hold to speak with the MG. When the manager came back on the line, I asked to speak to the MG, in which the manager on shift told me they would call me back late Thursday or Friday with answers and that I could speak to the MG one-on-one. I thanked them, and they hung up.

Thursday no call. Friday no call Saturday...and still no call

Today is Sunday...I'm very displeased with the staff and upper management..they had an opportunity to right a wrong. I won't be returning due to that lack of care by management, the carelessness of the staff and the fears for my...

I came here for a lunch a couple days ago. After making reservations 4 of us were seated at a booth with a singler burner. Already feeling crowded, we requested to be seated at a larger table. We had ordered non-alcoholic drinks, 2 cheeses, and a chocolate fondue, with the possibility of additional items on the order. Our request to move to a larger booth was declined (while 3 larger booths sit unfilled) and we were told that the larger booth directly across from us was reserved. Instead of complain any further or point out that we also had a reservation, we simply requested that our cheeses be served one at a time to avoid clutter. The waiter again refusing what seemed like a simple request while also explaining he knew we wanted 1 served at a time, he went ahead and served both of the cheeses at the same time. I was still waiting for my water I asked for when we were first seated.

The dining experience was unaccommodating and uncomfortable up to this point. Before we were done eating our first 2 cheeses our ticket was dropped on the table and we were never asked if we wanted anything else. I should also mention this whole time we had not recieved sweetener for our tea. When the person drinking tea got tired of waiting for sweetener I asked that she also call the manager over while she got her sweetener.

The "hospitality manager", unapologetically defended his server and refused to even hear me out. My main gripe was going to be that our chocolate was not on the order and even if he didnt hear us order it, the server never asked if we wanted dessert, he just dropped the check on the table and politely thanked us.... The H.M. talked over me, refused to listen to my complaints, and eventually kicked us out. I cannot believe this persons job title has the word "hospitality" in it. This was all around the furthest thing from hospitality I have ever experienced. I should also mention that the breads were totally different, the apples brown, broccoli in tiny pieces and crumbs, and cauliflower was not included to dip.

On our way out we requested some strawberries we had a coupon for and were refused. At this time I asked if the store was a corporate location and asked for the corporate contact information. I had been recording our interaction and the H.M. blurted out a number which even on my recording cannot be understood. There was lots to be desired from this experience. I immediately went online and purchased everything to make fondue at home.
