WEDDING PARTIES BEWARE!!! Save yourself the stress and go somewhere else. Initially, they presented themselves as organized and knowledgeable. Our groomsmen had started the process months well in advance before the wedding. However, things turned into a disaster. They have poor customer service, and are very unprofessional. When you try communicating with them, they have an attitude, argue with you, act like they don't know what you are talking about and even worse, refer to their customers by their weight and appearance. They: ordered the groom a wrong shirt, ordered wrong sizes, lost items that were ordered, stated that they "placed an order," but never did, items that were ordered were sold to other customers, didn't call the groomsmen to notify them that their items were delivered in store (which delayed alterations), stated that they couldn't order items directly from their store website, and they kept one of our groomsmen on hold, on the phone for over an hour- our groomsmen drove down to the store from Santa Fe all while still on hold with them, to inquire about one of his items. Read morepurchased a $150 sports coat from Jos A. Bank on Tuesday for an important meeting on Wednesday, only to discover a rip in the pocket as soon as I put it on. Unfortunately, I had no other options and had to wear the defective coat. Due to my schedule, I couldn’t return to the store immediately, but when I went in today to request an exchange for what I thought would be a simple fix, I was shocked by the response.
The General Manager flat out refused to exchange the jacket, instead offering to “restitch” the torn pocket. Let’s be clear—I paid for a brand new jacket, not one that needs to be repaired! When I expressed that I didn’t want a patched-up item for the full price I paid, I was bluntly told that a refund or exchange was not an option. That’s how Jos A. Bank handles customer issues?
I expected far better customer service from a brand like this. Instead, I received dismissiveness and a complete lack of accountability for selling a faulty product. I will never shop here again, and I’ll make sure others are aware of this awful experience. Unacceptable!

Read moreBought several "Platinum" suits in 2014 [before the merger]. At the time, was told the Platinum suits could be altered [let out, taken in] free for life. A few months ago, brought in my first one. Manger said, "wow, great suit, haven't seen one of these for a while...you realize the alterations are free...right?"
Saturday, took two more in...now, they've 'never heard' of this warranty...the regional manger, Jeff Harris, "nope, nothing I can do." So, they renege on their deal...for $80. I took my suits to the tailor down the street [will pay more]. I find myself unable to do business with someone who won't honor their word. I hope you consider this before you do business with Jos A. Bank again.
Update: Customer Service at the corporate Jos A. Bank contacted me and offered to pay the tailoring fee. I submitted my receipts and they honored the offer. I appreciate their effort to honor their word. I've upgraded my rating from one star to three...
