Why do I love Target?... Geez, they have consistently nice stuff for a good price. And I dont feel like a deer in headlights, as I do in the OTHER big box store. Shopping at Target is comfortable - I can be there as long or as little as I want to be. And I almost always find what I need, the lines are reasonable to great, and returns are usually a breeze. Just good business!
UPDATE: So, 8 years and one major pandemic later, I'm still a regular Target shopper. Although the majority of shopping I do now is online through the APP with a quick and convenient pick up in the parking lot. Brilliant!
However, like a lot of large corporations, they've completely lost track of reality when it comes to how they managing their online app!
For example:
On Saturday, July 12 at 9:27 PM I put in an online order to pick up on Sunday or Monday. Typically I'm supposed to have 2 days to pick up an order with a refrigerated or frozen item.
One hour and 12 minutes later, at 10:40pm, (40 minutes after the store actually closed by the way) I got an automated message from Target that my drive up ready was order was "ready to pick up" and that I would be required to pick up the order BY SATURDAY July 12 (ie. TODAY, Prior to the order even being ready to pick up, and the store closing 40 minutes previously.)
THEN, the next morning, Sunday, July 13 at 8:37am, I get an ALERT from Target that says "TIME SENSITIVE last chance! get your drive up order today. Please pick up your order before the store closes at 10 PM. Otherwise the order will be canceled"
Really guys? I went online and made this order effectively an hour and 10 minutes of actual open store time ago, and you're already threatening me with taking my order away. If I don't pick it up when you were closed? Or the first 37 minutes of being open this morning? one hour 10 minutes has lapsed, and you're threatening me that you're gonna cancel my order because I didn't pick it up before it was even ready?
Before posting this review, I attempted to contact Target through chat and I went to their website to look for an email or web form in order to provide my feedback and was unable to do so. They do have a web link, but the characters are so limited that I wasn't able to get even half of my story submitted. And no place to attach an image.
So I came to Google maps reviews and here we are. A picture of insanity.... it's no wonder we're all on mental health...
Read moreSeems like they have been slacking lately. Never enough shopping baskets up front. They don't carry fruit of the loom boxers, which if you look at the pictures of them compared to Hanes online you will see that they look baggier in the photo. Baggier probably means they are more comfortable. The fabric is also thicker than Hanes. Probably last longer. Every time that I listen to music that I picked out for myself in my vehicle and the musician is about to sing or rap about making money I always buy something from there right before this happens. This is annoying and ruins my ability to enjoy the music I spent my life choosing for myself. It's almost like the privacy of my vehicle is being invaded by one of Target's employees and they are claiming that they are a musician and I ain't nothing. How come nobody meets up to spend money with me right before I listen to a part where they sing or rap about making money? Maybe it is because everyone is helping out whoever is working for this business committ fraud and invasion of privacy against me in order to damage products that I purchased from this business in hopes that they can make more money off me. Once again another terrible experience.
Doesn't keep products I purchase weekly stocked in order to damage my property and waste my resources. Are you guys really that jealous of my shoes? Poor management. You guys can't keep what I purchase every week stocked because you want to damage my property?
Once every six months this store quits stocking something I purchase regularly to waste my time, resources, and invade the privacy of my home. Don't you guys have your own home you can claim your something in...
Read moreI normally absolutely love Target!!! It’s where I go for everything. My latest experience left me dumbfounded. December 19, 2018 I went in to purchase an Apple Watch for my mom for Christmas. Afterward she wanted to trade it out for the higher up, I figured she would so I saved the receipt. Unfortunately when that day came I could not find my receipt anywhere!!! I called and they said to come in and they would figure it out. I went in with my mom, I told them I couldn’t find the receipt but I knew what day, around what time (around 11:30), what register, and told them I paid cash. The watch was not even opened, we were just exchanging. What I can only assume was the manger said she would check for me. Five minutes later she sent someone else to tell us there was no record of a receipt or purchase. We grabbed our watch and left. We went home and I found the receipt finally!!! Guess what? The receipt said it was December 19, 2018 at 11:28 with cash..... I was beyond livid. Leaving the store I knew she didn’t really check or else she would have found it. Upon finding me receipt I was done. I have never been more disappointed in a store or with anyone as I was that day.... we returned to watch to a different target and purchased her upgrade from the Apple store. As much as I love Target I don’t know that I will be returning, at least for a very very long time. This is how you lose customers.... you have to try!! You need to care!! That manager...
