This is my first time staying here and while I wasn't completely disappointed it has not been my best experience either. Marriott hotel stays have often been decent if not a little bit on the high side for what you get. This hotel looks good overall but as you start your stay here you will notice lots of little things that accumulate toward the larger overall experience.
The staff were good and very friendly. This is nice to have. The location is close to food and shopping. The room has a fridge, dishwasher, sink and 2 burner cooktop. There are even 2 closets in which to hang clothes. Accompanying this is some storage space and dressers and a nice desk space.
The irritants: I am traveling for business but they put me next to a family with several screeming kids who were up throughout the night crying etc. Love kids but not in the hotel. The room was second story and the noise intrusion from outside was intense. I mean as if there was no window at all. Conversations from outside, cars, freeway etc. The room has a cramped bathroom with a shower curtain so short it doesn't lap the side of the tub so your shower water goes all over the floor. Kinda defeats the purpose of a curtain when it doesn't reach the tub. All of the 15 outlets in the room are worn out. Meaning you plug in your phone charger and it falls off the wall. Not cool. The desk lamp shade is also broken too. As for cleanliness there are some kind of brownishāred stains on the bathroom wall (running down the wall). The face of the fridge is gross, couch arms worn out and the TV is ancient. Whatever they are using to wipe down the room leaves smears everywhere making it dirtier. Let me not forget the pillows. It requires you to put all four together to have any support. They are worthless. The breakfast? More of some snacks. One of the worst I have seen in the 40 plus hotels I have stayed in this year.
Summary: could be a much better hotel than it is but so many little things add up to frustrate what could be a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI can be finicky about hotels, and I recommend this one! It's in a safer area of Albuquerque, near I-25, restaurants, and business parks. The desk attendant was prompt and helpful and honored my request for a room not facing the highway to cut down on traffic noise. I can be a light sleeper, and I experienced no noise at this location from the highway or guests. The hotel is newer and the public areas and rooms were in good condition. There were no odors, including no strong cleaning chemical smells. Bed was comfy. Room well-appointed for longterm stays with two hanging closets, laundry basket, and ample drawer storage for clothing and office set-up. There is a large desk, and a table fitted under the desk that you can fully pull out as an L or to use as a table next to the bed. The kitchen has a full-size refrigerator with freezer and ice trays, dishwasher, two-burner stove, microwave, coffee maker (12-cup with basket filter) and sink. Dish soap, paper towels, coffee, dishware, silverware, basic pots and pans, and utensils were included. You can also borrow some items from the hotel on request, like a slow cooker or rice cooker (see photo). We took advantage of the outdoor pool in the evening. It was well-maintained with towels stocked. A tad chilly at first, but not too bad. What else...amazing water pressure. Wall-mounted shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers. Free breakfast was adequate, though it would be nice to have a carafe of hot water handy for the oatmeal packets. Otherwise, there is an egg and breakfast meat option each morning, as well as waffle maker, cold cereal, and breakfast breads. And of course, coffee! One final thing: I missed that an iPad was wrapped up in the bedding when we left. Within 30 minutes, the hotel called to alert us. The iPad had no pass code, but I've seen no signs that any info was stolen. I very much appreciate the staff's honesty! Next time I'm in Albuquerque, I'll...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGot there at 420pm was told our room was not ready and to come back later; we just finished a 5hr drive, we were tired, hungry and wanted to freshen up prior to going to eat somewhere, I mentioned this to the clerk (which had her boyfriend hanging out, literately stood next to us while we gave our personal information) and she said let me upgrade you, are you a member...I replied NO, so she registered us-then said "it won't let me upgrade you, can you come back?" We left and came back 4 hrs later, again tired, and still boyfriend was hanging out, we checked in and the toilet didn't work my husband fixed it, we plugged in our phones in the lamp plug in by the beds, mine, the left side fell out, on the right side the unit shocked my husband. The bed was hard, lumpy, and seriously uncomfortable the down pillows were flat and useless. Since we were beyond tired at this point we just went to sleep only to be woken at 615am with fire alarms going off, I called front desk they said everything is fine, however went off 3 more times, at that point we just got up to go to breakfast which was OK, the sausage biscuit was good and the heat as you need food was just OK, however the trash was overflowing I mentioned to a staff member she got someone else to empty the cans but they did not put a bag in the can, again I had to mention to a staff member. The elevator made loud noises and I just used the stairs, met another couple, elderly, and they mentioned the elevator as well, again used the stairs. There are some great restaurants near by as well as Top Golf, but I would NEVER stay at this place again. Needs to be updated with beds, needs work in the rooms, electrical and plumbing, staff seems lazy and uninterested in...
