Watched the Deadpool & Wolverine on a Dolby Cinema screen. The Good - Viewing experience: The picture and sound quality is definitely top notch. I can say that Dolby has the best contrast, dynamic range and colors hands down. Picture quality: Dolby > IMAX Screen Size: IMAX > Dolby Sound: Dolby(More directional, better sound stage) = IMAX(more bass, cinematic) I would only prefer Dolby for Horror movies where the directionality of the sound is the major part of experience. The Bad - The viewing experience is negatively hampered by the AMC's assumption that every movie goer is 6 feet tall. I appreciate the legroom but they have put up a divider between every row which again has a 6 inch glaring glass panel on top of it. Have a look at the photo with this review. As a result, if you're below 6 feet, you don't have the luxury to recline the recliner. Instead, you need to sit straight and peek from above the divider so that you can see the bottom 20% of the screen. Popcorn and drinks: Gourmet popcorn is disappointing in taste and soft as they are prepackaged popcorns. Stick to freshly popped popcorn. There are 100+ drink options but none of them are interesting. It was a late night show, so I had the luxury of trying quite a few to see which one is good. It's either excessive sugar that'll make you nauseous or absolutely no sugar, there is no middle ground. The ugly - Stub member: As a stub member you get free refills on popcorn and drink but without an intermission, I don't see how that will ever be useful unless you're willing to sacrifice some scenes from the movie. We need intermissions.

My favorite Cinema, very comfortable recliner seats, great surround sound in the cinema. Good dine-in options with delivery to your designated seat.

I watched for a year as to how the treated the equipment and people after a year of being there i was constantly talked down to in a harmful manner they fired the janitorial team and unloaded their tasks on employees working for 8/hr forcing them to stay longer then usual if you couldn’t work until 12am you were let go i fell victim to this. They said that they had to let me go for 2 reasons 1 was because I couldn’t work past 10pm cause im a minor the second reason was because I couldn’t work on Christmas because i had a dental surgery and i wasnt even scheduled on Christmas thats the thing but before they fully disconnected me i saw their score results on their health test and and cleanliness the kindness etc i saw that they had failed everything the way they clean the food areas in horrific the popcorn area is simply wiped down with water they use the same mop bucket as the bathrooms to do the floors in the kitchen and in the hallway and concessions they are very rude when it come to any type of criticism as well they dont treat their employees fairly either i watched as i was told to do cleaning task after cleaning task while my coworker sat and did a 20 min task for 2 hours and nothing was said to her but i got yelled at when the lines at the concessions came to a halt im my opinion very bad establishment and very bad management i didnt even get any type of compensation for getting let go out of no where. I put up with verbal abuse belittling unfair work environment for 8$ an hour for a year. One hell of a way to make me dislike the theater i loved since i was little.

The chairs are very comfortable. That is all I can say that was good. Oh yeah, the movie did not skip or anything. Beyond that, this was a huge disappointment. We spent more than $20 per ticket to see the 3d showing of a movie last night and planned to eat at the theater. The online menu looked appealing. Mistake. First, there is no table service. You order food at a counter upon arrival and it is delivered to your seat later. OK, fine. If you want beer or wine or some other cocktail, you have to go to the bar at the opposite end of the theater and carry it up yourself. There was no one at the bar and two people behind the counter. Even so, they were busy speaking to each other and ignored us. One left the counter and the other went to the back room next to the bar, emerging after about 30 seconds with some kind of box. He then looked past us to his colleague and actually shouted something to him. At no point did anyone make eye contact. He then went back to the storeroom and was there for about a minute. We asked "is the bar open" and he said "yes" but did not come out to serve us. A full minute later, his colleague returned and immediately went back into the storeroom. We asked again if it was open and the second guy finally looked at us and asked us what we wanted. Ugh. We bought two glasses of wine and two cups of ice water. No beverage carriers were provided, so we went with loaded hands to find the right theater. Wish we had looked at our ticket stubs, but we had full hands and figured that someone could tell us where to go. First staffer we saw mumbled something and started walking away. We said, "it is OK to tell us you don't know, but please don't just leave us here." He said to look at our tickets. Come on. We found the theater and our seats. After a few minutes our food began to arrive. (1) avocado crab sushi roll - smelled funny. My wife took a bite and said, sorry, I just don't care for it. I ate one and the rice was very hard - maybe prepared the day before? Sloppy presentation and not that tasty, so we set it aside. Then they delivered our "caprese flatbread." This turned out to be a basic cheese pizza where the wedges were re-arranged into a long shape and packed into a box. When delivered, the box was dirty and the contents all sloshed to one side. I showed a staffer and he apologized and told me someone probably dropped the box. Wow. They brought us a new one. If you like cheese pizza it is probably fine, but don't expect flatbread. the salad was fine, if a bit overdressed.

One final annoyance - if you recline the comfortable seats, a low glass barrier in front of you obscures the bottom third of the screen. Ugh. We will not be returning to this...

AMC North Point Dine-In Theater – A Plot Twist We Didn’t See Coming

My husband and I used to be frequent flyers at this theater. Date nights, new releases, popcorn in one hand, soda in the other—AMC North Point was our go-to. But then life happened, and we hadn’t been in about 8 months. We returned recently, full of nostalgia and excitement… only to walk into what felt like the season finale of “The Decline of a Dine-In.”

Let me walk you through this cinematic tragedy.

My husband tried to order wings—because wings and movies are a love language—and was met with: “Our fryer is broken.” Okay. Not ideal, but we’ll pivot. I go for the fallback classic: popcorn. “Our popcorn machine is broken.” I wish I was making this up, but nope. No fryer. No popcorn. At a movie theater. It's like going to a gas station and being told they’re fresh out of gas.

Still trying to salvage this experience, I head to the soda machines. Imagine choosing between several sticky, questionably wet machines that look like they’ve been in a food fight. I picked the one that looked least haunted. I press the button. Soda starts flowing. I let go… and it keeps flowing. So I scramble to the next sticky station and—bless it—it worked slightly better. We now have drinks! Victory? Kinda.

Off we go to the theater itself, where the next surprise awaits: heatwave mode. As soon as we walk in, it feels like we’ve entered a sauna with stadium seating. The girl next to us said she told the manager it was burning up in there. His response? “Yeah, the AC doesn’t work.” Bold choice, AMC. Bold choice.

At this point, I was expecting a raccoon to stroll in and start watching the movie next to us. Thankfully, the film itself was great (thanks, Hollywood—you’re doing the heavy lifting here).

So, to sum it up:

No wings 🍗

No popcorn 🍿

Malfunctioning soda fountains 🥤

Broken AC 🥵

And vibes that scream “we gave up”

Dear AMC: You have a great location, and people want to keep coming. But you’re gonna need more than just a good movie to keep the seats filled. Time to call in a team that can actually fix things—and maybe mop the floor while they’re at it.

Until then, we’ll be streaming at home with popcorn that, shockingly,...

Yesterday was my 45th birthday on 7/11. I decided to take my son to see a movie at 1 pm. Purchased tickets and headed to the concession stand to order gourmet popcorn. I asked the short and stout young white lady that I would like to purchase gourmet popcorn. She said, sorry we are out. Please come see. So I followed her and looked in the container they were holding the gourmet popcorn which consisted of like 10 popcorn kernels. She said I can sale you that. I told her no and said I would like just regular large popcorn. She then proceeds to get smart and say well we have two sizes, which one you want. She was really loud trying to explain to me they have a regular and large in front of the other guest like I was slow. In which she didn’t understand or was trying to be nasty because we just stopped talking about gourmet popcorn. I was trying to tell her that I just wanted a plain large popcorn but used the word regular. She handed me my popcorn and said nothing else. She didn’t give me a receipt or say enjoy the movie. She was very rude and seem like she didn’t want to be there. AMC this behavior is unacceptable. Also the popcorn was at least 2 days old. Customers are paying top dollar for popcorn. Old popcorn and bad customer service is not good for this business. I’m a shareholder and see why sales are down. Due to this experience, I will not be back at this location. Mgt you need better training on customer service and how to provide quality food to customers spending almost $40 for a movie. The whole movie experience was awful.Very disappointed customer.:( also our seats were broken and...
