Le Macaron French Pastries - North Point — Restaurant in Alpharetta

My boyfriend bought me some macarons from this location for my b-day b/c he knows how much I love them. I was with him at the time of purchase and it was our first time ordering from this franchise. So first I would like to say that the staff at this location are lovely. They were very nice and wished me a happy birthday and even gave me a birthday chocolate as a gift, so I have nothing bad to say about the service or presentation of the stand but these macaroons tasted HORRIBLE! Simply put the flavors were all wrong and consistency of the both the cookies and fillings were off. The cookies seemed underdone and break apart at the slightest touch. And the fillings were the worst part, especially the jam/jelly ones. They were too thick/gelatinous and the flavors were off. The cream ones were slightly better in taste but then wasn’t enough filling in them to match the cookie. It really is a shame b/c I really do love macarons but these were just disappointing. I came across this sweet kiosk at Avalon a few weeks ago. I love macarons and thought they would make a nice presentation on my daughter's dessert tower for her bridal shower. I purchased a red velvet one and marveled at how yummy it was. Delicate and sweet, and exceptionally light. The young lady gave me a brochure and business card of the owner and assured me I would be pleased with my purchase if I chose to order for the shower. I wasn't disappointed. It was a pleasure corresponding with owner, Lisa Amundsen. She was prompt in her responses, and assured me all would be fantastic if I ordered macarons for the shower. My guests loved them! I was extremely busy and never actually made it to the Northpoint store, so one of the bridesmaids picked them up for me. Ben had the order all ready, and I prepaid earlier in the day. My daughter LOVES Macarons and is very picky on the types she likes. We were very busy around her birthday so unfortunately waited to the day before to look for treats for a surprise party with her friends. We found Le Macaron and loved the amazing assortment of Macaron flavors and colors they had available. They not only were able to fulfill the order for us in less than a day but also were able to add images of my daughters favorite anime My Hero Academia. Lisa was available late in the evening to make sure the order was right and that the order would be ready on time.
