I enjoyed working out at this gym for the short time I lived in Alpharetta. Everything is great about this gym until you need to cancel. I had to unexpectedly move back to California and when I called to tell them I wanted to cancel as I couldn’t physically attend anymore I was told I needed to come in person to cancel. I tried explaining I wouldn’t be able to do that and they said I could just email a proof of residency and they’d be able to cancel my account but I got an email back saying to call them back. I spoke with some customer retention/sales rep that told me I needed to send a WRITTEN 30 day notice to cancel as it’s “store policy”. I asked politely if we could somehow bypass this policy as I work two jobs and have little time to drive to the post office and deliver a letter. He told he couldn’t do it which rubbed me the wrong way because this is a small/local business. I know they could’ve easily went ahead and canceled my membership but wanted to make it difficult. Not something I’d expect from a smaller gym. I sent in my 30 day notice in about 3 weeks ago and I lost my card a couple of days ago so I had to get a new one. For my last charge they’re trying to get me on, this place tried charging the lost card FOUR different times within 24 hours of the first declined charge. Greedy
Update: two months after my written cancellation request they just charged my account....
Read moreI am lost for words! Called in yesterday to state I'm cancelling my fiancés account for him (before they took a payment) and they state he needs to show proof of residency in another state and then speak to management in person and I told him we returned our rental vehicle and the only way to come up there would be uber and that don't make sense. The guy mentioned nothing about having to pay half of the 12-month contract to "buy out" and I found this out after calling back a second time to speak to a manager today. By the way I called in today and i get the voicemail so i leave a message and didn't receive any calls back so i go ahead and call back again a couple hours later and the guy who answered had the worst tone and customer service as if i owed HIM something. Kept talking over me and wouldn't let me explain my situation. I also realized they attempted to charge my card 3x before the payment finally processed with a late fee too! What type of service is this? Moving out of state should be room for excuse to close the contract. I simply asked him if he'd rather have a chargeback claim or to just refund me and he got fired up after that, kept repeating " IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I CAN HELP YOU WITH". I don't recommend this...
Read moreThis is the gym to join! Best experience of any gym after checking out several options around Alpharetta and Roswell area. I called Tapout to inquire and spoke to Sean, the owner, who was very nice and we setup a same day appointment so I could check it out. Prior to my appointment I received an appointment reminder text message confirming my scheduled time with Sean, which is great in my opinion. When I arrived I was greeted at the door while Sean was on his way up to the front. He introduced himself and provided a great tour. No pressure at all and you can tell he’s passionate about his business. The gym is well designed, clean, great music, and most importantly has great equipment. Everything you would need and more. The gym speaks for itself. Aside from the standard workout area there’s another section with very high quality mats and all the gear you need for boxing, kicking, conditioning, ropes, and much more! There’s classes for those who like HIIT, Boxing, etc.. Another equally important thing to note is the monthly membership is the best value of any gym I checked out and you will easily pay more, if not double, at the other gyms. If you’re looking to change gyms or get started, this is the gym I would...
