This gym is very cheap. They have not upgraded their machines in years, and recently they have forced members to turn in their ID’s in order to obtain a pin to use their machines. I would understand if the gym were in better conditions, and if they were trying to take care of better equipment but sadly no. The management even bought “replacement” pins (bolts from the nearby Lowe’s) which could’ve been used to replace the floor pins in the first place. Not only does using incorrect equipment pose a safety concern, as these bolts are not certified to handle heavy weight, but it’s just cheap. They didn’t even want to buy real replacements. [ edit: they have replaced the pins on the machines after about 2 months ] This issue only started because the management never replaced the pins in the first place, so people started stealing them because they got desperate. If staff or cleaning crews were on the floor more, rather than flirting behind the counter, people would also feel policed enough not to steal equipment. Much equipment is missing, I admit, but the previous statement would solve the issue. The gym always smells like unclean rubber and a bit like feet and I’ve only seen maintenance personnel seldomly (mind you, I workout regularly here. Unfortunately, their locker rooms are worse, as the men’s urinals are always full of urine because they do not flush correctly. The sauna and steam room could also use more regular hose downs. If a health official came to this gym, they would notice it’s a public health disaster. Unclean, unequipped, under staffed, and undesirable.

I am writing to formally report a serious health and sanitation issue at your facility. For over a month, there has been human feces present in the men’s shower area, and it has not been properly cleaned or addressed. This is not only disturbing but represents a significant public health hazard that requires immediate attention. The continued presence of fecal matter in a communal, high-moisture area such as the gym showers exposes members and staff to serious health risks, including: Hepatitis A – spread through contact with contaminated surfaces, affecting the liver. Norovirus – highly contagious and causes severe gastrointestinal symptoms. E. coli and Salmonella – bacteria leading to foodborne-like illness, spread through unsanitary conditions. Giardia and Cryptosporidium – waterborne parasites that thrive in wet, contaminated environments. MRSA and other skin infections – transmitted through contact with infected surfaces in unsanitary showers. This situation clearly reflects a breakdown in cleaning and facility oversight. It is not only unsafe but also a direct violation of basic health codes and sanitation standards. Please see attached photos with time stamps of dates of photos of feces in the men’s showers.

Poor Service and Deception at Front Desk

My recent visit to this gym was marred by an extremely disappointing interaction with a staff member named Saphire at the front desk. I had accidentally left my AirPod case in the gym and came back to find it. The front desk was unattended when I arrived, so I quickly went to check the treadmill area. Upon realizing that my AirPods weren't on the treadmill where I thought I left them 30 minutes earlier, I immediately went to ask a worker named Saphire if anyone had turned in AirPods. Initially, she said no.

The situation became more frustrating when I used my location app, which indicated that my AirPods were in the check-in area, likely in a drawer. Despite this, Saphire continued to be unhelpful and dishonest. She insisted that my AirPods were not there (she didn’t check the drawer, not even lost and found) and she said I couldn't retrieve my belongings without checking in (which I had already done earlier) and that only her manager could assist, even though she was the only employee present and clearly knew about the AirPods.

This level of service is unacceptable. The front desk staff, like Saphire, are expected to be honest and helpful, particularly in situations like these, and especially as first point of contact. Her unwillingness to assist and blatant dishonesty left a very negative impression. I believe the management needs to address this issue to improve customer service and ensure the integrity of their staff. It's crucial for customers to feel they can trust the staff, especially in situations involving lost items.

I still haven't received my AirPods. I had to leave due to work commitments. Otherwise, I would have stayed and contacted security, as I had definite proof that my AirPods were in the drawer and she was deliberately...

Pros: Location has easy access to highway, its a bit smaller but they have almost everything you need.

Cons: 1.Was kicked off a machine by a personal trainer because he set up and was waiting for his clients. We were 3 out of 4 sets and we had been on it for about 10-15 minutes. We are paying members as well...and you kicked us off because another member paid more to have your help? Don't set up an area and walk away for 10-15 minutes. They need to rethink where they do the personal training because this inst the first time I was asked to stop my work out so the "trainer" could use it for other people. Across the street from a McDonald's lol. Snobby employee who signing me up for a membership. I asked for a low cost one because I am on a budget and this is all I could afford. She continued to sign me up for one $20 more then the one I wanted (ended up cancelling and signing up with someone else who did the right thing), and then tried to sell me a personal trainer package for $200-300 on top of that...like were you not listening? Then of course the personal questions of why I want a gym membership. I am embarrassed of my weight and I want to lose it thats why i am here, but to be told that my swimming and aquatic plans were cheating and not the right way to go is just rude. i'm big, i have joint issues because of that, and I am listening to my doctor until i lose enough weight to do harder things. Working my way up ya know? not some receptionist telling me how to do it..OH and the best part..."yeah if you work out for 1 hour you can eat another 300 cal so all day like 1000 cal right?"....that is what she said, I can not make that up. she didn't know a damn thing about health and wellness and starving yourself on a 1000 cal diet while exercising is not...

"Hey 24 Hour Fitness, I have a really serious concern. My mom and I went to cancel her membership that we paid for in cash for a year, bringing exactly what it costs that day. However, on that same day, they told us we had to pay about $50 a year for cleaning, which my mom paid with her card. After a year, my mom stopped going because the area is dangerous, and she hadn't gone for two months. Now it turns out that instead of consulting her, they would like to keep charging her membership; they just took her money, over $200, without her consent to use her card. When we asked why they took that money without first sending an email about renewing her membership, they didn't do it. It's more than $200. She went alone to request her refund, and the manager told her it wasn't possible and that she couldn't do anything about it. But she says they didn't tell her the truth because my mom only speaks Spanish, and she didn't not pay the full year with her car, she pay in cash, and just because that day she did have enough in cash to pay the 50 dollars now they just charger her, and she when exactly the same day that she was charge, we don't need the money, but this I find it unfair that they won't return the money that 24 Hour Fitness took without consulting her, and now it seems they can just take money because they have her card information. It's over $200, and I will send an email directly to 24 Hour Fitness because it's unjust how they are taking advantage of people who don't speak English." This is abuse and not just paying for a membership that cost more than 60 dollars, this is more than 200 dollars, and what happen if she didn't what the full year, and only want to pay by months? This is very sad...
