My wife and I went to this bowling center because we wanted to have a date night, and we both love to bowl. I am a league bowler at a different bowling center so I am used to things being done quite different from this Bowlero. The management was completely terrible, the entire staff needs retraining on customer service, and the equipment needs a lot of work.
One of the first things I noticed is that the lanes were too dark. I couldn’t see the arrows on the lane until I had one step left in my approach. This makes aiming quite difficult. But whatever — this place seems like it’s more for entertainment than serious bowling.
During our first game, I had to walk up to the desk and ask for a ball return 7 different times. During one of those interactions, I asked why the call button wasn’t working on the lane and the person working there said “oh we disabled those.” Super!
One of the times I went up to the counter, I had to stand in a line to tell them about the ball return in order to get helped. That’s when the employee said “I don’t have a walkie talkie on me right now” and then proceeded to tell no one to help us and disappeared.
I went to the bar to grab us some drinks. After standing there for 10 minutes with no help, I had to go to the counter and tell them to tell the bartender to come and help us.
A lot of the frustration I was having could have been mitigated by management. It seemed like no one was in control and all of the workers were completely apathetic. I just wanted a fun date night with the Mrs and it turned into me having to decide how “Karen” I was willing to go. I love bowling too much to ever come back. This place is nothing but lipstick on a pig and a disgrace to the...
Read moreCame in for the first time on 4/3/22 with the family. My parents had purchased a Groupon as there was 10 of us that were going to bowl. My mom had called a couple of days before to see if we needed a reservation and she was told we just need to get there early to check in.
I arrived 30 minutes early which was at 5:30pm. I spoke to Natalie and she told me that I could not check in until my whole party was there because with the Groupon it is a 2 hour game play. She said that they do not have a list to put names on. My parents arrived at 6pm and we went back in line to be told by Natalie that we needed to be put on the wait list but because I did not put us down there are now 4 groups ahead of us and she can't tell us how long the wait will be! When I arrived she told me there was no sign in sheet. She told my mom well because you have a Groupon we cannot put sign us in! (WHAT?) She basically started saying because of the Groupon we do not get the privileges as a regular customer, which nowhere on the Groupon did it say this. At this point she was contradicting everything that she had told me!
I asked for the manager because no way was this fair when I had arrived early since we were told to do so to check in and be told something different from Natalie. I spoke to Hector he was such a great help. He apologized for the inconvenience and put us at the top of the wait list. He took really good care of us.
It was fun but I give the 3 stars because of the headache we had to endure in the beginning and on our first time coming to this place.
FYI you do get charged an 18% service fee not...
Read moreTerrible! It was a terrible experience. I've been to many other Bowlero locations, and this one was the worst. On January 1st, I visited with my family of six. They assigned us two lanes, 24 and 25. During our first game, our balls got stuck behind the pins. We asked for help at the front desk and spoke to an employee who called someone to address the issue. But our frustration mounted as the balls got stuck again. We returned to the front desk for assistance, played for a few minutes, and yet again, the balls got stuck. This cycle continued, and it seemed only our lanes had this problem. I was extremely frustrated. If I were working there, I would have apologized to the customers and offered compensation for wasting their time and ruining their experience. Disheartened by the poor service affecting our mood, we decided to stop during the second game and requested a refund. The employee called the manager, a lady with glasses, who didn't say anything but offered us different lanes. I immediately declined, insisting on a refund due to the extensive time wasted waiting in line and seeking help for the stuck balls. She agreed to refund the second game, which we had barely started; we had only rolled three balls. The service was very poor, and the manager's disrespectful and unkind attitude was unacceptable. We will never visit this...
