Please see my letter to their Coorporate office: My name is Tawana Teasley. I purchased a connecting sofa, swivel chair, and an ottoman August 4, 2018 from the Anderson South Carolina store. ( Please keep in mind that I do not have any children in my house so no one was playing on the furniture)Within approximately a few months the wheels on the Swivel Chair fell off. Weeks went by and the store finally contacted us to inform us that the store manager would be out to look at the furniture. Approximately 2 weeks later they (the store) ordered a new wheel for the Swivel Chair which did not work. Two people attempted to fix the furniture piece without success. My opinion would be to just replace the item. They refuse to do so. At this time we decided to return the Swivel Chair and the store remove the piece of furniture from my bill. They had to remove all charges and had to close out my account. Next they had to create another new account. Now a closed account is showing on my credit.
Within 2months (Feb 15, 2019) the ottoman leg fell off. We contacted the store and they informed us that they would call us back to set up an appointment for someone to look at the Ottoman. About 3 weeks went by and we had not heard from anyone. So, we decided to take the broken Ottoman back to the store personally. At this time the manger replied he had ordered parts for the Ottoman. This was strange because no one came out in person to inspect the broken item. Long story short they gave us a new Ottoman 2/15/19.
The value of the furniture that I have purchased is poor. The only piece of furniture that has been of value is the couch. I am very worried that the couch will fall apart. But so far it has been great.
In conclusion I have not received good nor exceptional customer service. I will never do business nor recommend your company to anyone due to my experience. I am at the point that I would like to return all the furniture due to how I was treated. Why sale a product that does not hold up. I should have known not to trust a company that does not send out monthly statements nor can you pay your bill online. It is unacceptable that a company has money to send out flyers, and if you are late they will send a reminder. However, you cannot email or send monthly statements.

Read moreI will never buy from this store again this is the second time I brought furniture, I never been so insulted, humiliated, and Unfairly treated. Unforeseen life events sickness & car collision occurred and I fell behind, my mother became sick, in her last days, I explained my situation asked for time to catch up, the credit manager was rude, unprofessional, vindictive, I asked her to come get the furniture because she didn’t want to give me time. She brought me to court for 280 dollars, she refused to pick it up & told me to wait to court, my mother passed away on Monday, I was scheduled to go to court on Thursday, so I ended up missing court anyway to attend funeral & Make arrangements. I already paid for furniture, I’m paying back interest & loan fees, we made agreement during court, I followed agreement, now the credit manager sent me another letter stressing me out, her skills as a manager are poor, this is becoming harassing, I am continuing to make agreement payments every week, schedule for every Friday but I pay on Monday because I want to catch up & pay this furniture off ASAP. Her inhumane attitude cause me to miss my mother’s last days with her eyes open, now she wants to take the furniture when she could have gotten it but she was being mean spirited. This has been highly character degrading, I will never buy furniture like this again from there nor any other place because they don’t have consumer compassion nor job ethics. A manager should have consideration, skills of managerial integrity and ethical behavior. I pray a miracle comes to me soon, the insurance company doesn’t honor the contract but takes money from me every payment. I pay this before I pay my rent because it’s not fair how I am being treated when more than half the loan contract is paid. They still threaten me to take me back to court to take the bedroom set, after I maintain court agreement. One payment to be caught up to August, I’m still on unemployment, my school has not called me back yet. I still make payments. But yet this manager obviously has a personal problem with me, she once stated you people don’t answer your phones…....
Read moreI have read some really bad reviews on Farmers not sure if it was the Anderson, SC store so I wanted to write my experience so far. My wife and I shopped around for a sofa and recliner. We had no credit, not bad credit. NO credit. We couldnt get aproved anywhere. We were NOT going to a rent to own place. We did not know of Farmers so we gave it a try. We got a really nice sofa with a 2 year warranty at a great price. We also got a name brand recliner at a great price. The recliner was made for bigger people to accomadate my height. We were at the store during a promotion and got an additional 20% off our total. If you pay off your furniture within 1 year it is interest free. They said they would report to the credit bureau monthly to help me build credit and they have done so every month now for 5 months. Something in my sofa broke about 4 months in. I called and they informed me that it was under a 2 year warranty and I actually have an appointment for the company to come and either fix or replace the sofa tomorrow. I have no complaints with this company thus far. They have done everything they said they would do. Alot of the bad reviews I read about Farmers furniture were saying that they call you all the time when you are late on your payment. Well what do you expect? Pay the bill on time. That is what is expected of you. They offer plenty of insurance that covers you in case you become disabled or lose your job. I have not been late on any of my payments but, I am sure from the employess that I met. If I called them and informed them that for whatever reason I was going to be late on my payment and gave them a date when they could expect payment that they would be understanding and would not call and bug me everyday.
