What an awesome location! We stumbled upon the Ann Arbor Farmers Market on a Sunday afternoon after checking out TripAdvisor, where it was listed as one of the top things to do in the area. Upon arriving downtown, we were greeted by a plethora of vendors, from food and artisan crafts to clothing and everything in between.
Parking can be a bit tricky. We fiddled with an app to pay for parking but ended up walking to the kiosk instead. Only then did we find out that parking is free on Sundays, which should probably be noted on all signage to save time and confusion.
Once we sorted out parking, we had an incredible time exploring the Farmers Market. The main building includes a market downstairs with a restaurant, meat department, artisan vendors, a pizza joint, and a fish market. Upstairs, there are even more vendors to check out.
Overall, this place is a fantastic way to spend 3 to 4 hours. Even if you don't buy anything, just walking around and soaking in the ambiance is a treat. We enjoyed visiting with the vendors, checking out all the unique items, and discovering things we'd never seen before.

Parking has become much more challenging with the loss of spaces across the street at Community High School. Feed the meters, it is generally vigorously enforced! Also, leave your pets at home except for service animals. Pedestrian access is a city priority and has been substantially improved over the...
