Very helpful team, and well stocked store. I enjoy the fact they have multiple chairs built and ready to sit test. Buying a chair on the internet isn't as easy as one might think. At least if you' re looking for something long term comfortable. I went in, and they have chairs rated for how many hours one can sit in them. I was surprise none had a value much more than 6 hours, and suppose this is very telling of our new economy sedentary work lives. So, I walked out with two chairs, and remain floored at the wealth of ideas a walk into this store can provide. They have everything from multiple colors of paper. I mean heavy duty card stock to use in your printer for your own customized invitations and greeting or birthday cards. They have highlighters in more sizes and colors than I could have imagined. They carry a host of post it note colors, sizes and competing brands. Need desk supplies? This place has what you need. I've found the crew very friendly, and they even offered to carry the chairs to my car. It turned out, I didn't have room for both of them at the same time, but it's so close to home, it didn't take long for me to work it all out. I've never had a bad experience here, and am glad we still have this type of facility, as I realize more and more of these brick and mortar types are shrinking in size. I almost forgot to mention, they have an old school print support area where you can go in and receive help...
Read moreI use Officemax to ship via FedEx on a regular basis Prices never match up with the pricing on the FedEx website. Today I had a very small box that the FedEx website priced at slightly over $16, but the counter at OfficeMax states the price is $26 plus change. So I leave and take it to the FedEx counter. Sometimes the price is within a dollar or so of the FedEx website price, but every once in a while pricing is way off. No problems other than this makes it hard to predict actual shipping costs.
Update: I emailed the store with the information requested and was contacted by the local store manager. I provided him with some shipping examples to price, and he confirmed that in a number of cases the store prices were significantly different from those he got from the FedEx website. He suggested the next time I want to ship something, I should print off a copy of the FedEx pricing from there website, and if there is a discrepancy the store will price match. Overall, the manager was quite open and appeared very interested to resolve the issue. I want to make it clear this is the only issue I've ever had with this store, and management has a plan to address it. Based on the interaction with the store manager, I have...
Read moreUPDATED: Never again am I setting foot inside this place. The guy at the print station was so rude and condescending. I get it, you're not happy with your station in life, but don't take it out on me. If I didn't need the prints so badly I would have just walked out, and it turns out he got the order wrong anyway.
I found this store very helpful with print jobs once the pandemic hit, I'd gotten into the habit of easily uploading my documents online and being able to pick them up at the printing station. However lately it's been bad. I've had two cases where they printed the documents on the wrong weight paper. On another project I had 11x17's printed and needed them folded vertically, which is an available option that I paid for but I got a phone call stating they don't do that there even though I've had it done before. Today my order wasn't at the print station even though I got the alert that it was and I had to wait on line to get it. So now I'm done ordering online and my suggestion is just go in, you're likely to spend as much time...
