A friend and I went to the Apex Chik Fil A last Tuesday, a rainy day, to take out toddlers to the play area. We went primarily to let them get some pent up energy out. When we initially took them into the play zone, there were at least 15 kids in there, many of whom were age 8-12. The big kids were running around like banshees and our toddlers as well as others who tried to come in to play were scared. We took our kids out, decided we would eat first and figured it would calm down/clear out by the time we ate.
Second try to enter play zone, our two kids stood looking confused and frightened at the edge, literally not even able to get 3 ft. past the door because of previously mentioned big kids swinging from the equipment, going the wrong way up the slides, leaping and jumping across the little kids. I decide to take the initiative and ask the employee cleaning up tables if they have someone request that the big kids leave. Since the very large posted sign clearly says "...for children 3 and under." He very rudely says "No, that's for you (pointing to me and my friend) and you, the parents, to watch over your kids." I try to explain to him its not about watching over our kids, but the other parents who AREN'T watching over theirs, who, by age, shouldn't be in there in the first place. He basically turns away muttering how he can't do anything about it. When I go back in I realize there are now two kids, including my friends child, both small, who just got hit/hurt by the big kids. I go back and ask the rude employee to please get a manager for me to speak with. He rolls his eyes and goes to get one. She comes up to me with this already annoyed attitude and coldly asks me what I want. I proceed to tell her someone needs to oversee the play area, ask the big kids to vacate since the sign states '3 and under', to which she says 'What sign?' I show her the 4' high sign in clear view if you've ever walked through the door of the play area you couldn't miss seeing. I tell her I didn't appreciate the attitude from the first employee. She tells me there's nothing they can do (What???) so I tell her I want a refund of our $25.00 we just spent for our kids not to be able to play safely and at first she balks about that telling me its not Chik-fil-A policy to refund. Seriously??? She begrudgingly refunds me and my friend and clears out the bigger kids... clearly because she realized she is a manager who has no clue what the rules are of her own store, by this time now 3 toddlers got hurt, and I asked for the Corporate number. This is the 4th time I've been at this store when the play area has been a madhouse, overrun with kids well over 10+... shame on both the lame, finger pointing Chik-fil-A employees AND the parents who quietly sit by and let their 12 year olds run loose in an area meant for toddlers. There are plenty of play zones, malls ,etc where kids that size can play. That play zone is a lawsuit...
Read moreWe recently moved from South Florida (November 2021). My husband played in Hit Fore Hope golf tournament in late October ( we were doing our pre-close new construction home inspection) At the auction he won the auction item donated by this particular location.
We received the basket from our realtor sometime in late November/early December, as my husband left the event early. At no time during the event, when I paid it even when we received the basket were we made aware that the gift cards were location specific. We only noticed the location late February. We put the gift cards aside. Today we attempted to use them, realized they had expired by a few weeks and we're met with the worst customer service ever. We have been Chick fila customers for decades back in south Florida but after this very negative experience, not anymore. Maryellen was rude and very impolite. Another employee appeared and addressed my husband in a very hostile manner. It would have cost (food cost) $25 to allow us to use "just" the gift cards. We asked to speak to management and was advised no one was available. This is not what we have ever experienced.
*I would like to add to this review that an employee who denied being management when we were at the location called us after we left. He identified himself as such on the phone. He apologized for the negative interaction and gave us new and usable gift cards to replace the ones that expired. We appreciate the call and gift cards but still feel that the situation could have been handled in a more positive way from the beginning. **
Thank you for making a bad...
Read moreBEST BREAKFAST!!!!! I just want to say whoever cooks the eggs in the mornings needs a raise. They are always, fluffy, moist and just the right amount of salt. I can get(and have gotten) an egg and cheese biscuit with grape jelly every single day because it is that good. They never have a bad day and if they did I would notice. I'm talking about this specific location because I've gone to others and have been disappointed. The only issue which seems to be across the board with all of them is the burrito tortilla, occasionally and I mean very rarely, they can be hard... like stale or something. I've always thought their breakfast is better than their lunch(cfa in general). Also, I recently started getting the chicken tenders, they're amazing; way better than the nuggets.
1 very important critique is the drive thru. I only order on the app... I've watched the employees take orders from the very back of the line while there's multiple empty car lengths ahead so the mobile orders can pass but we're sitting there waiting unnecessarily for them to take the order. They just keep walking backwards further up the line instead of encouraging the cars to pull forward. Or, the line progresses forward and they still just stand there taking the order or collecting the payment. Once the line moves, the employee should safely move with it. That needs to be addressed immediately during the morning meeting. The whole renovation and mobile lane was meant to be efficient.
but anyway, the food is always fresh and delicious which is why return morning and afternoon, drive thru...
