💀 Regal Wekiva Riverwalk: A Review by Bob the Skullz (Now with 100% more dinosaurs and just a hint of soda-induced debt.)
Let’s start with the basics: Regal Theaters has become our cinematic second home. Me and my humans? We’re those people—the “we've-seen-it-already-but-let’s-go-again” couple haunting the reclining seats like popcorn-scented specters. And the Wekiva Riverwalk location? It’s where the magic happens. Regularly. Reliably. With just enough sticky-floor nostalgia to keep it real.
We’ve got the Regal Unlimited Pass, which, despite sounding like a credit card scam from a 90s sitcom, is actually the best deal in moviegoing. For around $20 a month, you get unlimited movies. That’s right. UN-LIM-IT-ED. As in, go see Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Whatever-Marvel-Is-On-Deck, and The Random Drama with Oscar Hopes No One Else in the Theater Understands. All for less than the price of a large popcorn and your soul at most places.
Speaking of snacks: let’s address the popcorn mortgage situation. Yes, movie theater concessions are still wildly priced. Yes, we did consider pawning a kidney for a refill once. But to Regal’s credit (pun absolutely intended), their $10 snack pack with refills is a blessed loophole in the overpriced concession matrix. One large popcorn, one large soda, infinite returns. It's basically the Infinity Gauntlet of snacking.
As for the theater itself? Solid.
Seats: Plushy recliners that fully lean into your movie-watching comfort needs.
Screens: Crystal clear. No tears, no weird off-color tint. Nothing that screams “we stopped maintaining this in 2013.”
Sound: Booms, whispers, and dinosaur roars all hit with perfect pitch.
Cleanliness: About as clean as any high-traffic theater can be. Yeah, the floors have that classic tackiness, but let’s be honest, if your shoes don’t stick just a little, are you even at the movies?
Staff? Friendly and helpful, even if sometimes their understanding of the Unlimited Plan is shakier than the plot of a late-stage Fast & Furious sequel. That said, there’s always a manager around who’s ready to swoop in like a customer service Batman to set things straight.
Now let’s talk Mystery Movie Mondays. A gamble? Yes. But a fun one. It’s cinematic roulette:
Sometimes you land on a masterpiece.
Sometimes (cough Founders Day cough), you get a flaming dumpster of a horror flick so bad it deserves its own Razzies category.
Either way, it’s worth the suspense and the popcorn. Plus, it gives you a chance to channel your inner MST3K and turn bad into brilliant by sheer force of snark.
Final Verdict: Regal Wekiva Riverwalk doesn’t just deliver the movie experience, it elevates it. Clean(ish), comfy, consistent, and fully worth the Regal Unlimited investment. Whether you’re here for blockbusters, indie flicks, or Mystery Movie shenanigans, this theater gets the job done with charm, popcorn, and enough caffeine in the soda to power a small nation.
Ten out of ten dinosaurs would stomp back in. Catch Jurassic Park on July 2nd. It’s a banger. Trust me. I have no pulse, and I even got goosebumps (Recent Monday Mystery Movie).

Read moreA nice cute theater. Very outdated though. I've been going there since opening week decades ago and it needs a total exterior as well as interior facelift. The bathrooms are old, dark and dingy. The lobby is dull, dark and very cheap. The theater needs new carpet wall treatment and tile. Newer contemporary brighter lighting would be a great touch. Even the sign out front is barely illuminated as well as the exterior lighting needs to be updated and brighter. If you didn't know the theater was there you wouldn't know it even existed. It needs some flair and to be brightened up. The seating as well as the theatres themselves are very good with lots of leg room and the seats are large and comfortable. The sound and projection quality is also good but that will soon change with all the theatres upgrades and modifications taking place. Competition is stiff with theaters these days and this theater is so far behind the competition. And the management staff members absolutely never smile, it seems ALL the current management staff just hates being there. Another problem is the staff does visual checks by walking up and down the aisles several times during a film, this is very distracting and aggravating. I've never seen this done in any other theater that I have ever been to. Also, during off-season this theatre limits its showtimes only to earlier shows, it just forces people to go to your competition, because no other theater closes early. I understand this theater being small and limited to the variety of movies they show but when new films come out the same week drop the older ones to show all the newest. Example, as usual I got a discount coupon emailed to me last week for The Belko and they didn't even have it at Wekiva Riverwalk but they still have Get Out and Before I Fall which have been running for nearly a month now. I go to the theater 3 to 4 times a week. In most cases I choose to drive to others to patronize. And it's a shame. Also, I am not the only one that feels this way. I've been going there for ever and would welcome and enjoy the improvements...
Read moreI’ve chose this score because i was highly dissatisfied with employees responses and want to achieve customer satisfication. My tickets were purchased through groupon an outside vendor which in fine print states a small popcorn and snack pack is included. While attempting to redeem and claim this the manager denied applying this due to there not being a bar code he could scan. Manger was shown the fine print and the ticket and anything that was included however nowhere in voucher does it state a separate ticket or barcode provided to claim is included in fact it stated it was included WITH ticket. I’m also extremely frustrated with this repsonse due to there being no attempt to try and help us claim or work with us to provide a service that was paid for even have providing and showing information. I also don’t think it’s a deserving response after hearing him ask another employee if they’ve ever seen this before and he didn’t know what it was. This was really disappointing and disheartening mainly due to the managers response showing lack of friendliness nor help to assist with service that was paid and promised. I am attaching what was included in voucher as well as what was show and provided to manager who continue to deny this Additional Information Do not make copies of the Premiere e-ticket; only the first e-ticket scanned will be admitted.
