Fox River Kayaking Company — Attraction in Appleton

On 6/21/2020 at 3 PM, we did the Doty Island tour with Reece as our guide and Sydney taking pics during our ~2-hour tour. Two of many things about our experience that make this a 5-star rating: Reece did a great job of letting the group control the pace of the tour while pointing out points of interest along the way. He asked us if we wanted to see "this" or "that" along the way as well as what route we'd like to travel with different options available. We experienced exhilarating kayaking along the shores of Lake Winnebago with the "rougher" waters as well as peaceful/calm waters through the channels with their spectacular views and many bridges for us to kayak under. He even took the time to answer an interested mother's questions when we got back regarding Fox River Kayaking Company's services/offerings. Sydney took pictures of the group throughout the excursion from the shoreline and posted them on their Facebook page the next morning. Free pics taken by Fox River Kayaking Company allowed us to add to our photo album memories from our memorable experience. One of the ladies in our group told us how this was NOT the norm, and that kayaking companies typically charge you for pics they take during the tour.

We did the Doty Park kayaking tour! We had a small group. It was us and one other couple. We had a ton of fun. It was perfect weather with overcast skies and cooler weather. There was no wind so the water was very calm. Our tour guide was nice. He spoke with us and the other couple to get to know us a bit and where we were from. He was able to share info about some of the parks and channels we paddled through. We’re excited to hopefully go back for another tour next summer to do one the locks tours they do. Another thing I’ll mention is that in addition to the tour guide, I think it was the owner that followed us on the tour and photographed the whole way and the photos were all shared at no additional charge. That was a nice added touch...

Fox River Kayaking helped us organize a kayaking event with my company's affinity group. They made it extremely easy for us by transporting people and Kayaks to the starting point. Everybody had a blast. They were very helpful in guiding us through the trip. We paddled from Fritse to Lutz Park. Even though it got a little windy around Little Lake Butte Des Mortes, it was an easy-going trip - even for beginners. Also, thanks for sharing the pictures you took. I fully recommend Fox River...
