Super disappointed with our most recent visit to Stone Arch. This used to be one of our go to dinner spots, but sadly that will no longer be the case. We went on a Sunday night around 630 and there were only 5 occupied tables…probably should have taken that as a sign. Our appetizer of the nachos were overcooked and probably 25% of the chips had nothing on them. The fish and chips had apparently been “changed” from cod filets to a giant filet of something, which was disgusting. It was soggy, flavorless, and disappointing compared to how they “used” to be. The only positive was the tartar sauce was perfect as usual. My husband ordered the fish tacos and the chunks of breaded fish resembled giant mozzarella sticks. It had no flavor and was also very disappointing compared to past visits. The waitress came to ask how it was, and I was honest saying we were disappointed with everything. She went to talk to a “manager” close by and we heard the conversation of the manager asking if we wanted something different which we did not. The waitress came back saying the manager said they’d comp our bill, and could fill out the comment card versus coming to talk to us. Never heard back in regards to the comment card and leaving our info.

Terribly disappointed with this restaurant. We saw this restaurant on the travel channel that was boasting about the Mac n Cheese. We had a party of 13 from Green Bay and wanted to know if they would accommodate us due to COVID. I was transferred back and forth between servers and they told me it was because it was an odd question and couldn’t provide us an answer. (A restaurant knowing the capacity that it can handle is not an odd question.) We decided to take the drive anyways. When we drive there, they tell us that they will accommodate our party with temperature taking and masks - not a problem but didn’t mention it on the phone which i found odd. We got there and the servers were very difficult in allowing us to sit together. They put us in our own section of the restaurant so there was no reason we couldn’t push tables together. We came for the legendary Mac and cheese and it was not good at all. Very runny and not good, I would not recommend. The pizza was very good and the cheese curds were interesting and different. The history of the location was great to learn about but I won’t be back - was not impressed.

I love that Appleton WI has so many unique dining options. This is one of the more unique ones. Love the "Cellar" ambiance with the authentic stone walls and the not-so-authentic wood beam lateral ceiling supports. Don't be alarmed by the somewhat musty smell when you enter on the ground floor. It gets better as you descend to the "Cellar". The Stone Cellar also has some unique menu options although our party wasn't thrilled with our choices on this visit. My friends Bison Burger was "nothing spectacular" (although I would have asked for more toppings than did he). My Vegetable Curry w Chicken was OK. I prefer a more India-styled curry with a rich broth but this was rather dry. As such, I wondered why it was served with the pita bread which is really only useful for soaking up the sauce. My other friends enjoyed their Fish Taco's and Chicken Tortilla Salad. The service was kind and friendly but not as exceedingly prompt as one might expect at a higher level restaurant. If you haven't been to the Stone Cellar, you must experience at least once. You may like it enough to come back again and again.

It's difficult for me to leave any business a 1-star review knowing that most strive to please their customers with their product and service. Sadly the Stone Arch Brewpub failed on both accounts and their subsequent non-follow up (at least on this occasion). The situation was that we hosted friends from Australia this past July. Australians, we have found, at least our friends, are super kind, proper, and generous to a fault. Near the end of their stay, they offered to treat us to a night out on the town, and they chose the Stone Arch Brewpub for dinner and drinks. Our server, Andy, was a polite enough, however, after delivering our drinks and appetizers - - crickets. 1.5 hours later, our food arrived, provided by unfamiliar waitstaff. I was mortified, mostly because our overly polite friends acted as if nothing was wrong. We all had ignored the elephants in the room; super late overcooked tasteless food and 90 minutes of strained conversation. Now, I understand the above may sound harsh; however, it's because the feelings of disappointment have only multiplied. Those negative feelings have increased by the fact that the Stone Arch Brewpub has ignored our friend's letter of concern. Soon after, and before they left for home, they wrote a letter to the Stone Arch Brewpub management "politely," describing their feelings - - crickets. Twenty days later, our friends recently wrote from Australia and asked if we've heard from the pub, and I answered negatively. At his request, I then called the pub and spoke with a manager. He was pleasant and said he vaguely recalled seeing the email in question (which was forward to him from the owner) but wanted to re-read it, and then respond to me. He then asked me if that sounded reasonable, and I answered, "Very reasonable, thank you." Crickets. Now, after waiting several days without a return phone call, I've decided to leave a review. Too bad too, everyone seemed so helpful...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Stone Arch Brewpub, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.

Upon entering the brewpub, I was immediately struck by its warm and inviting atmosphere. The rustic decor and cozy seating created the perfect ambiance for enjoying a meal and a drink with friends or family.

The highlight of my visit was, of course, the beer. Stone Arch Brewpub boasts an impressive selection of craft beers, all brewed in-house with care and expertise. From hoppy IPAs to smooth stouts, there's something for every beer enthusiast to enjoy. I sampled a flight of their offerings and was blown away by the quality and variety of flavors.

In addition to their fantastic beer selection, Stone Arch Brewpub also offers a mouthwatering menu of pub fare with a modern twist. I indulged in their signature burger, which was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The locally sourced ingredients and creative culinary touches made each dish a true delight.

What truly sets Stone Arch Brewpub apart is their commitment to community and sustainability. They prioritize sourcing ingredients from local farmers and producers, supporting the local economy and reducing their environmental impact in the process.

Overall, my experience at Stone Arch Brewpub was nothing short of fantastic. Whether you're a beer aficionado or simply looking for a great meal in a welcoming atmosphere, this brewpub is definitely worth a visit. I can't wait to return and explore more of their offerings...

Complete Fail. We have been here many times, last time was about 10months ago. I almost feel bad for posting this as we have always had a good experience here; but this time was such an egregious fail that it can not be overlooked or passed off. Simply put, I ordered a Bacon Cheese Burger with onions, cooked medium. The first one they brought out was blood running RAW. The bun was literally soaked blood pink. Thankfully I cut it in half to eat it versus just biting into it without paying attention. Because it wasn’t even close to being done, I was thinking how could this ever get out of the kitchen like this??? None the less, I was polite and sent it back to get a new one. After 10-15mins a second burger was brought to me. IT WAS THE SAME EXACT WAY! How in the heck does a kitchen/chef mess up this bad TWICE in a row??? That’s just complete incompetence or simply an indication of someone that simply does not care! Either way it’s a huge fail. At that point, my wife and kids were almost done eating, I was extremely disappointed, and told the waiter to simply “forget it” that he should just refund me the money. They did give me a refund and that’s it, no real apology, no visit from the manager, no complimentary drink, NOTHING. When a restaurant clearly hands down FAILS and there is zero F’s given, that is terrible customer service and indicates a lack of accountability. This whole thing was handled so completely wrong, that We WILL...
