Riverside Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Appleton

Been going to this bar for years and after how I was treated by a male bartender last night,I will never step foot in this place again.Stopped in to eat after a high school football game.When our food arrived I received a call from my son he was locked out of the house.Asked to have our food boxed up and pay the bill as they already had our credit card.Was handed back a receipt and card thinking our bill was paid .Left a 20% cash tip as we are both business owners in the valley as well ..we know you don't get it all if left on the charge.As I was ready to walk out the large male bartender asked if I was planning to walk out without paying, I showed him the receipt and said we paid.Apparently it was just an itemized receipt. I apologized and began to pay it all in cash,as my boyfriend with card was outside smoking. The male bartender then began screaming in my face to pay my bill then also began to accuse me of not tipping.He swiped the tip off the bar so fast but I needed to re check the cash because I had a larger bill where he could have gotten a larger tip but started to scream in my face ,embarrassing and humiliated me to know end.I can't believe they allow this man to treat customers this way.With that said I will NEVER go there again and will let my clients know how I was treated...

Stopped in for a burger and beer on a Saturday afternoon knowing they used to have good food but hadn’t been in for a while. Burger was absolutely 5 stars as was the appetizer I had, beer selection was above average and they seem to have built a very nice outdoor patio area since I have been here. Service on the other hand was dissapointing. I don’t like to have to give someone my cc to order a burger and a beer. I’d prefer to be a customer of your establishment not a hostage...especially if it’s not that busy to begin with. The bartender that took my order seemed nice enough and could sense my hesitation to give her my card but assured me they just have to hold it and I could pay cash when I checked out. Okay fine. Burger and appetizer was delish! After eating a different bartender, who acted extremely bothered to have to close out my tab, took it upon herself to go ahead and just run my card...great, but I prefer to pay cash. This cc hostage situation is annoying and coupled with the bartenders annoyed attitude really not sure the delicious burger is worth...

From the service, to the food, and even drinks, we were very disappointed! Despite there being 3 bartenders behind the bar, service was slow. My drink tasted burnt???? I don't understand either, it was a strawberry vodka and sprite, something was way off. Then we get the food and the haddock was good, no complaints, same with the fries, but the walleye was gross, not just the taste, but it was soggy on the bottom, and had bones, maybe it's personal preference but I didn't care for it. Also the coleslaw was room temp, I found it to be good, but threw me off that it was not cold. Just pretty disappointed that dinner was almost $50 and we didn't even enjoy it nor finish it. Was not asked how anything was or how we were doing, been there in the past in the summer and LOVED the burgers and patio vibes, that was a hit, but this time was definitely a miss, don't plan on...
