Last night at 6pm (They close at 8pm) my boyfriend and I went to purchase glasses and sunglasses and was referred by the Pasadena location (where my boyfriend had his eye exam) to visit the Arcadia location due to their large selection. We were looking for larger frames which seems to be a challenge. Due to the restrictions of Covid-19, We called prior and was told that we could just walk in but needed to call when we were at the mall entrance to be let in since the mall is closed at this time. I called....Waited 15 minutes and no one from Lenscrafters came. Someone was leaving and held the door open for us to enter. Once entering the store, our temperatures were taken and we were allowed to come in. There were 3 sales associates at the time. We were approached by a heavier set guy who asked us what were were here for. My boyfriend explained his needs for glasses and sunglasses, etc. The associate pointed at the Raybans and said that they come in wider sizes and we were left to look around. He did not care to listen or help. All 3 of the sales associates were huddled and talking about an earlier mishap regarding a customer and a $25.00 shortage. They had to call a Dr. (I'm assuming the owner) to explain. Meanwhile not checking up on us till 20 minutes later. The heavy set guy was rude and spoke to my boyfriend in a very commanding way. "COME HERE", "LOOK",....OMG! Really? He then said that NONE of the eye glasses even come in the larger dimensions and that we'd have to go with a sunglass frame. Not one of the associates offered to look up frames in larger sizes. However, the Pasadena location had the 58 dimentions and were willing to check selected frames for us...This guy was pure lazy and rude. We were highly disappointed. I dont wrte reviews but this location really upset me to the point where I'm writing an essay here...Sorry Lenscrafters but this guy and location is a huge disservice to your customers and business. The bottom line is we were forced to...
Read more10/02/2023 Everything went pretty good from exam to the doctor, Could been better if I had my eye dilated! Everything went pretty smooth till I came back to see if they can check my PD, this female manager Ashley was still here, she told me "I am sorry we can't check your PD unless you buy glasses from us." Pretty much the whole point to check your eye health is to set you up to sell you a pair of new over priced glasses from this particular location, not even on their website, cause two years ago I did purchase a pair from their website, the store refused to do anything about the item! Beware before you make a trip down here!
No wonder no candy at this store during Halloween! Just had a really bad experience with the store manager Ashley, I had placed a online order at LensCrafters and had it send to the store, apron arrived, I asked for the order and asked if I can take a look at the glasses, the employee said yes, so I open it and found out the frame was way too tight, and the PD wasn’t matched with the PD was giving, I asked her if I can change the pd on it, they advised me to deal with it, because the PD is very close to the original, but I did have two PD so it feels like looking at a fish bowl when wearing it, they said you have to deal with LensCrafters directly, we are just a hub, we can’t help other then adjust the frame, but the tone of her voice is just makes me very mad, she wants absolutely nothing to do with my order, and said they have no information of my order in their system, I had my eye exam here a month ago, what do you mean? Then she is all nice to a customer next to me, act like I was some crazy guy acting up in the store, I will never ever return after...
Read moreI went into the Westfield Santa Anita mall LensCrafters, hoping for a good experience based on the one other review. I parked in sublevel 2 around Macy's, took an elevator to sublevel 1, then went through some service corridors to pop out pretty close to the shop, which is on the 1st floor close to Macy's entrance. I went in the early afternoon on a Friday, the place was a bit understaffed but the guy helping initial customers was very friendly, acknowledged everyone walking in, and hustled, not walked, to help me and another customer at the same time. +1. He volunteered I'd get 30% off if I had a AAA card. +2.
I had come from a Costco optometrist (which was very fast) to here, and after taking the order I came back in an hour and the lenses were ready, fit in the frames I brought in. At first glance the coatings look good (I normally get Zeiss Carat Advantage; which reflects a blueish-green light, the coating LensCrafters uses I don't know the brand name but it reflects a tan light). We'll see how it holds up to daily soap+water cleaning, something not many coatings like but the Zeiss Carat Advantage holds up pretty well to. I've read the oleophobic coatings of today are supposed to be cleaned with a lens cloth instead of soap+water, but I like the latter for hygienic reasons.
Anyway, what I was after is what I got, a quick subscription fill. I paid $289, kind of inline with what I'd pay from my optometrist's filler, but I didn't have time to do the mandatory two separate visits that I'd have to otherwise do. I got courteous service also. I'd return to this...
