Astoria and the surrounding towns are a tight knit community. I considered this a hidden gem, a long lived treasure that struggled to remain in our community, with a youth program that supports young dreams. My family had gone to shows and I have shared their shows on social media. I can no longer support this small town theatre because of their poor treatment of a participating family. I have also emailed directly to share my concerns with information being shared about minor children from board members on social media and rumors being spread. You can enjoy as an audience member or be brave, show up for auditions and join in the fun ON stage! The volunteers on stage work their hearts out to give you a silly, popcorn throwing, good time. ASOC offers 3 annual melodramas and several other productions throughout the year, so there's almost always something going on. (The one guy who gave a one star review just doesn't get it. This isn't Broadway. It's Off Bond Street...
