Highly recommend!! We weren’t sure about the place at first because is connected to a subway! But oh boy! What a surprise when we got the food! It was really good! It tastes homemade! They make the food as you order which is great, it’s worth the wait!! Better than most Mexican restaurants! The husband and wife were really great to talk with! Clean and friendly place!!

There's no shortage of good Mexican food in Astoria, and I'm pleased to report that El Limoncito holds its own! The staff is friendly, the portions are generous, and the food is great. I recommend the torta with carne asada and will look forward to adding El Limoncito to our regular rotation. :)

In addition to the very solid carne asada bowl and chicken burrito we had, they have an even more amazing selection of Mexican snacks, sweets, and over the top drinks...loaded with toppings and extras, preparados, locos, etc. Service was friendly and they explained they are family-owned, from the same family as Monte Alban down the road...

Hole in the wall, authentic Mexican food. Tastes great. No need to change the classics kind of establishment. Very limited seating. But there is a children's playground inside. So that's handy while you wait for your food to be ready. So happy we tried it out. Will be coming again. Also lots of classic Mexican dessert...
