My mother and I went here on Sat, Sept 14 at around 6:30pm because it was one of the only nail salons showing as open before our trip the next morning. We get inside and it is completely empty. No customers, only about 8 employees. We asked if they were still open and they said yes so we were seated. I was preparing for a modeling open call and was undecided between color or just a clear coat. Neither of us wanted a full set, just our natural nails and toes done. I showed them a picture of an american mani design I had in mind but they said it wouldnt work with the color or gel they had or something like that.
There was a woman doing my pedicure and man doing my mani. I had a bandaid on my thumb (which he asked about) and I said it was bruised just skip over it. It wasnt an open sore, it wasnt contagious it was simply a healing subungal hematoma from an injury. Just skip over it. He says something in his language and they all started laughing. Now if you and your mom are the ONLY two customers in there, and they werent laughing before, wouldnt you think they are laughing at you? Especially after you just spoke about your thumb? Moving on. I asked about a different design, and to possibly do it with regular polish instead of gel. So much response was “gel looks better it lasts longer, etc” so I said yes to the gel. But I figured if I’m the one paying, I should choose what polish I want. So I told him “actually I would like just a clear polish on my nails and feet please.” He and the lady doing my pedi looked at each other, spoke their language and the ENTIRE ROOM started laughing. The ENTIRE ROOM. So now I’m highly offended. So because I’m not spending a certain amount of money with you, you ridicule me? Not everybody wants fake nails and gel with crystals. I had a model open call, I wanted something natural and clean.
The lady doing my feet began speaking as she’s doing my pedi. I believe she was talking about the bruise in my big toe. (I had the tiniest black mark on my big toe, idk how it got there I guess I stubbed my toe on something) i knew she was talking about it because another lady came and sat on a stool right next to her and GRABS my toe with the bruise as they are talking and giggling. I snatched my foot out her hand. If you are not servicing me, why on earth are you touching me?!
At the end of the service I felt so embarrassed and disrespected and offended and I will NEVER go there again. I rather sit in the comfort of my couch and put press on nails while watching tv (which would save me some money and the mistreatment) than to come out of my pocket and be treated, laughed at, and scorned that way and then ask me for money.
I should have walked out, but my mother was also getting serviced and honestly the 2 people who serviced her seem much more respectful. I love that for mommy. The service came to a total of $85 but they $3 off for us to pay for parking.
Please look at the pictures of my nails and how he let me walk out the door after I decided to change to a clear polish mani. Not even worth cleaning underneath my nails because I didnt spend what they wanted me to.
Do with this review as you wish. I just want these businesses to be mindful we don’t HAVE to patron with you. I could’ve gone elsewhere and now I will after that. That’s just not how you treat people ESPECIALLY when they are the only 2 customers you have at the time. Now I see why this place was empty.
Thumbs up if you feel where I’m coming from because…. Absolutely no. 👍🏾
EDIT: so apparently they have responded that they have a whole new team and management since a mere 2 days of my visit. Now if I go in there and see the same faces (I remember faces) then you can add “liar” to the list...
Read moreThank you for the amazing service Logan(pedicure), Kelly(full set), & Jenny!!!! I have been looking for nail techs and a nail salon that goes above and beyond for their customers with quality, kindness, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’m so happy I can say that I’ve found that here at Buckhead Nail Lounge. First I was greeted when I entered for my appointment. They were very accommodating and let me get my pedicure done before my full set.
It was THE BEST PEDICURE, hands-down. I had my pedicure with Logan, who was so sweet and gentle!!! I’m extremely thankful for his kindness. I explained to him that I get bad ingrown toenails, which he then catered his services specifically to the needs of my feet health. It’s rare to come across a nail salon where people care to go to the extra extent of shaping your toes into a specific shape so it causes you EXTREME COMFORT. The pedicure just kept getting better and better. He not only massaged, he also gave a hot towel and stone massage that depleted all the stress in my body. He also offered me a free drink of white wine (2 complimentary), which I was so happy to accept. Meanwhile, Jenny a very kind nail tech who had taken off my prior set was so friendly and welcoming. We chit chatted for a bit so I could get to know them better. I would recommend their services to everyone I know!!!
And it only got better when Kelly, the most talented nail tech I’ve had in Georgia did my full set!!! I found her on Instagram and fell in love with her cat eye & gold designs. I was very vocal about my admiration for her skill. She said all of the nail techs there would be able to achieve this look but I had faith in Kelly. She achieved my desired look & was able to work with my budget. I also explained that I cook everyday so we agreed to not add any gold charms or beads. Kelly did not disappoint! When I had mentioned that past nail techs would glue the nails to my skin causing severe pain, she took the extra time to ensure all my nails were FILED TO PERFECTION and COMFORTABLE. This would be my first time getting a cat eye design and seeing the magic happen was so much fun!!! The process was something I just had to trust and I’m glad I did. I get so many compliments on these nails. Thank you to Buckhead Nail Lounge for an unforgettable experience. I’ve learned that great nails aren’t cheap nails so you get what you pay for and I happily gave 20% in cash to my nail techs. It costed $300 including tip. First photo taken in salon, second photo...
Read moreI stopped in while my condo was being cleaned. Didn't want to go to far from home, so I skipped my usual spot to try them out. My tech was EXTREMELY nice and provided great customer service. I'm not satisfied with my nails but, am satisfied with the customer service.
I went in for a manicure with SNS and tips. I also got a pedicure. There seemed to be a misunderstanding as my tech asked if I wanted my "mild coffin" shape request narrow. I replied "yes" as that made sense to the shape. I try to trust the process but, once she was completed my nail shape was literally long and extremely narrow. She attempted to correct the shape by cutting them down which helped a little. But, my request could not be executed without her starting all over. I also asked for a design and showed her pictures. I wanted a line based design with a little glitter accent. So when she made the glitter swirls that you see on my finger, and asked if I liked it.... I said yes. Because, I thought that this was just the glitter portion and she was going to add the line accent after the fact. There were other colors next to her so I didn't think that the two swirls would be the actual design. At this point despite her trying to fix everything I was just ready to go so, I didn't offer any more correction or questions.
Once I got into the car I saw that my nails were not even and were lumpy. And some of my nail was missing polish.
Overall the salon is very nice and clean. They do offer you two complimentary alcoholic drinks. And the waiting chairs are actually massage chairs.
My three stars represent the customer service displayed an attempt to correct my issue without starting over. Another for the establishment itself and one more for my pedicure.
UPDATE Randy, the manager reached out to me for the opportunity to make everything right. He did all that plus some. I'm so glad I gave them another chance. Randy corrected my shape and provided a bomb design on all nails at no charge. It's not about the mistake bit, how people go about correcting them. Thank you! I'll...
