Great shows good views of stage good sound. I'm sad to have to write this report. My love and I went to the Joe Bonamassae show. He and the show was Awsome. The bad part is we stopped at concessions ordered two bottled water's. The attendent pours the bottled water into a large opening cup with no lid or straw. My love is disabled with a muscle disorder. Very hard for her to tip her head back to drink from a cup. So she had to go through the show with very little to drink. The cups put her at danger of falling because I couldn't assist her very well because of having to carry to open cups. She was having difficulty making her to the seats. I carried the cups ahead of her sat them down. Went back to assist by holding her arm. We made it to the seats enjoyed the show. The attendant in concessions told us it is a new policy to put all beverage in cups. Ok with a cup but provide a lid and draw for those that must have it. This new policy is flawed. The facility was one fall away from a law suit. Please provide a lid and straw so every patron can enjoy the evening out. Kind of a discrimination against the disabled. Sorry about the length but I had to report...
Read moreWent to see Carol King musical (highly recommended). Sat in nice "C" section seats. Not 5 stars for the theater because... just a few minor things....a large glass of cheap Costal Ridge red wine was $13 bucks....the entire bottle at Costco, a 1.5 liter bottle costs $7....so they are pouring 5 1/2 glasses of wine from this bottle (which cost $7 bucks) and seeing a return of $71.5 dollars.....(talk about a high percentage ROA)...and the wine is of the lowest quality. They could charge me a reasonable price.... because I have already purchased the theater tickets... and serve me a good glass of wine. Being cheap does not endear you to your customers. Second, when the show is on and people enter the auditorium from the side lobbies a blinding and distracting flash of white light disruptingly fills the hall...and with patrons coming and going this is constant bad interruption, it degrades the entire show experience, shame on the theater manager for not noticing this.....and dimming the side lobby lights once the show is under way. Yes Mr/Miss theater manager you may call me if you wish to discuss...
Read moreI don’t appreciate sitting at my computer refreshing the screen to purchase ticket for Travis Tritt and the second I can purchase at 10:00 am I choose 2 for the floor and the response for the next 10 minutes is “ no tickets available “. But I am looking at a resale sites with floor tickets popping up for double and triple the face value. I call the box office and get told that she can sell me floor tickets in the back section 7 , but she don’t know why they are not available on the web site. But guess what if you are “special and privileged “ by the Augusta entertainment complex you get the opportunity to buy 2 hours early and put them up for sale for profit. So since I can’t purchase a good seat at face value I will not be attending.... any show at the bell auditorium or the James brown arena or any other facility that August entertainment complex sales...
