What a beautiful old building that just speaks of it's history simply by walking around it. The gates were open, so we strolled around the outside of the building. It was a treat to see the open courtyard and bricked in area around back. We didn't stay long because the sun was about to set but we got some beautiful photos of the building and the property as the sun began to set. Around back is the remnant stump of a tree older than any of us today. Bittersweet to be able to stand on the stump that was flush with the ground but was four times as big as myself.

Absolutely worth a visit if you are looking for places that hold historical value. Especially when deemed an historical landmark by the US Government.
