Used to shop here once a week. Went in and bought $300 worth of tile for kitchen backsplash. Went in 2 weeks later only to see the price reduced $2 per sheet. I asked at the register if they would honor the new price since it was within 30 days. They said I would have to bring the tile in for the adjustment. I went home and picked up all the tile and returned to the store for said adjustment. At which time I was informed I would have to return the entire order wait 2 days to be re-stocked on the shelves, and try to come back and buy it once available. Really?!?! Its 2018. Nearly any other store simply processes the exchange and refunds the difference. These guys made it extremely difficult for no apparent reason.
Habitat lost not only a sale but also a longtime customer.
Edit-Update: The store manager Carla contacted me shortly after the review was posted and offered a sincere apology and offered to make it right somehow. She explained the reason for my experience and has stated appropriate training will take place to ensure a more simple transaction...
Read moreGenerally, I think habitat for humanity is a great organization. I came today to buy a couch and a dresser. I told them that I be picking up my items today. They agreed to that. I return today on 6.13.23 arrived here after an hour to get a U-Haul to retrieve my own things. There was no sign on the door. Just the door is locked with the lights on. The police came by. They're not sure what's going on. Then as we're sitting outside waiting to see if maybe they were on lunch. Someone goes and puts a sign over the hours that states that all habitat for humanities would be closed. I'm super offended because I spent extra money to rent a U-Haul to pick up my item that would have taken me an hour to get together. And now I'm going to be out 50 bucks extra which isn't even the equivalent of how much I paid for my items today. I'm very...
Read moreDisheartening! Last week I dropped off a coffee table, an end table, and a lamp. The tables were ornate metal and had tiles for the top. The tiles were all shrink wrapped so they wouldn't break. Today I went to drop off another table, a chair and a lamp. I saw the coffee table out behind a connex and the end table in a plastic container outside the drop off location. I asked the man that helped me unload why the tables were where they were and where were the tiles. He said he thought the tiles broke. What??? All of them?? That's was 12 tiles, all shrink wrapped. I could have left them out in front of my house for someone to take. Instead I wanted them to have a new life in someone else's home. Now they are just trash!!! So upset and...
