This is a horrible company with terrible services!!! I would have given 0 star if I can! I was not aware of the 3 years contract. By the time I was talking to the salesman and the technician who came to set up our security system, they didn't mention a single word about the contract and the monthly charge increments. 2. I confirmed with salesman triple times about the monthly payment prior the installation and was told it would be $27.99 only per month without any other charges. Well, after we setup the service, it turns out charging us $48.99 instead because we don't have a phone line in house. Were you suppose to let us know all these things in advance? 3. I talked to a sales manager regarding our outdoor camera installation and it all worked out initially with 3 camera installation fees waived so I was really happy with the deal. But after three appointments, I realized we were being fooled! The first technician came and helped setup the security system and told us to schedule another one for camera system. The second one came and told us where we should install the cameras. Because he was not able to connect to the technician center, he told us to reschedule the second day and get the rest installed. But the third one didn't even show up and called me saying ADT don't install outdoor cameras. We freaked out that time! Everyone in the company didn't say a single word about cannot do it until we passed the free cancellation period (3 days). This company is just trying to trap the customers and rob your money. Read moreThe absolute worst experience! For a security system company, they did a lousy job and gave me a false sense of security as they did not protect as paid for or advertised. The technician who came out to do the initial installation didn’t know what he was doing, didn’t communicate, and didn’t do his job. He left half the house without window contacts. The ones placed were positioned so that every time the shades came down, the contact cover came off and created a faulty system. He installed a doorbell camera and did not hook it up to the ADT system, so it was not recording or providing security.
Yesterday it took one hour to get technical support. I waited another 3 hours to get virtual assistant technical support, who called 30 minutes late and initially attempted to tell me ADT did its job, and the rest is on me. That did not go over well, and we had a conversation. After 2 hours of him assisting me in doing it myself, the doorbell camera remains nonfunctional. I will need to wait another week...

Within the first 6 months of service we had 4 separate issues with the doorbell camera resulting in outages ranging from a few days to a few weeks. When calling to cancel, since the doorbell camera was a key to our decision, they refused to budge and remained committed to charging us 75% of the rest of our 3 year contract. Upon my insistence that they have not held up their side of the contract, the account manager insisted that they would need 3-4 visits on the exact same issue AND for the technician to deem the problem unsolvable. I made it clear that we had met the requirement on issues with the door bell, however they require it to be the exact same issue (ie. AC Power issue vs cloud connectivity issue vs recording issue etc) Long story short, its my fault for trusting this company (admittedly I thought it was ADT originally) and signing a 3 year contract.
