Lovely trail. Start here and jog down about 5 miles to cross the river on Pleasant Valley Rd, then along the board walk and across Barton Creek at the end. 10/10 long run.

This is a really nice trail for walking, biking, or running. Lots of folks are on the trail, and the ambiance changes often. It was easy to get to, and even with out toddler in a stroller we had an easy time going a good length of the trail. Great views of sunset as well! Love the trails. Dog friendly too. they run along the lake and all thru Zilker park. Great way to spend the day. Running from the MoPac Bridge to the statue of Stevie Ray is a journey that would delight any runner or jogger. The paths are beautiful, terrain changes for the more adventurous, but an easy course nevertheless. The afternoons are hot, the mornings muggy, but the runs in the Fall...

The trail is a great place to run, walk, hike, explore, bike, and get lost while in the middle of Austin. Plenty access points to the trail with multiple bridge crossings to facilitate movemernt from one side to the other. The trail connects large parks and pocket parks as well as neighborhoods along the river. There are water fountains and restrooms along the trail as well as places to get foods and drinks. The trail also connect to other trails that offer the opportunities to explore the greenbelt. This is a great asset, use, support,...

I love the Town Lake Hike & Bike trail. It's one of the best things about Austin. Not just for hiking & biking - also great for people watching, and there is a leash-free area for dogs down by the Stevie Ray Vaughn statue. Depending on what part of the trail you are on, you will get a view of downtown of the serenity of trees and nature. I don't even like running very much, but there is something about the Town Lake trail that makes me want to go for a jog...
