I really tried to work with these guys but it became impossible. I called to get an estimate on some mulch/brush removal and was asked to send pictures but because I didn't think the pictures would reflect the job I asked for an in person estimate and they did that. After walking them thru everything they gave 2 estimates, one for brush removal and one for mulch. I thought the brush estimate was a little high but I also felt they underbid the mulch removal so figured it was a wash and set up the date of work. They showed up and after watching progress I was right, they underbid the mulch job, by quite a bit. They worked until they hit their bid level and then told me it was more than they anticipated. Not really my problem but I paid them and then asked for them to rebid the remaining. I only did this because I knew they underbid and needed the work done. They left but said I would hear from them in a day or 2 with a rebid and a crew to pickup the brush. 2 weeks later....... crickets. I reached out to them several times over the next week before I finally got a response and a date to pick up the brush. That day came and went without issue and I paid the agreed upon price. Again the crew left with a promise that they would rebid the mulch. That turned into a month of no responses and I still have raked piles of mulch laying in the yard which I have just decided to do a bit at a time. The work crews were fine. Hard working and respectful. But whoever is responsible for the business side is terrible. Unprofessional, unresponsive and frustrating. I even talked to another company and told them about my problem and they were astonished that I paid Junk Kings for the screwed up mulch bid. I did that because I felt the crew worked their butts off and deserved to get paid. I gave 2 stars because of the work crew. But i will never use them again much less...

I had a very unfortunate experience with Junk King Austin. Long story short, I had a really small load of junk to remove. So small that I didn't want to waste their time with an on-site estimate, which could have easily been managed over the phone. I spoke to a nice person, sent some photos in, and was told someone would be in touch with me to provide an estimate over the phone.

However, the wheels came off when someone showed up at my house, where i was not home. However, my wife was and knew I was taking care of the removal. Without context, she provided her credit card and the nice people hauled off the small load.

I received a notification indicating that almost $200 had been to my credit card, which I never approved since I did not have the estimate. Confused, I called the company to explain telling them I would have never approved given $200 was well beyond what I was willing to pay.

I spoke to some very nice folks on the phone and over email to explain the obvious mishap and telling me someone would be reaching out. However, over one week later this still has not happened and I'm out almost $200.

Ironically, I received the quote I was expecting later that night well after pickup.
