Texas Union Underground — Local services in Austin

The Union Underground is a nice place to just relax and have fun on campus for a cheap price. I've come here multiple times whether it was to bowl or play billiards, I always have a great time. The atmosphere of the place is always super nice and casual with no one getting too rowdy like how it could get if you went to a bowling alley or billiards bar that isn't on campus. Also, the place is smoke free which makes it a plus cause one turn off for me at billiards are when they smell too strongly of smoke. The staff here is friendly and helpful, like I had some issues with my bowling lane before and they took care of it super quickly and efficiently so its not like i wasted any of my time or money waiting on them to find a solution. They also serve food and drinks down here but I have never really had them so I can't speak on taste, but they have a pretty decent variety and I am pretty sure they are legally allowed to serve alcohol here. If you are looking for a wholesome way to have fun around the UT campus then I definitely recommend popping by the Union Underground because it gives you two options for gaming and also just an area to gather and chill with friends while you crack open a cold one of your...

My friends and I were enjoying a great evening of bowling, having paid for two games for six people. Unfortunately, we encountered a technical issue that briefly delayed our game, though it was resolved. However, as we were beginning our second game, all lanes experienced a malfunction, preventing the bowling balls from returning. It took a significant amount of time for the issue to be fixed, leaving us with only 25 minutes before closing and insufficient time to complete the games we had paid for. Given the circumstances, we reasonably expected some form of compensation, whether a refund or a credit for a future visit. However, when we brought this to the attention of the manager, Ryan, he informed us that he was unable to offer a fair and equal compensation. We were disappointed by the lack of flexibility and customer service, especially considering the nature of the disruption. While we had an enjoyable experience up until this point, the way this situation was handled left a negative impression. A dangerous environment for kids! We were invited to an 8 years old BD party 12/20/2019.The lights were off. I even told the staff over there that since we have little ones, would you turn the lights on. Of course the unprofessional staff said ok, but didn’t turn them on. my daughter fell because It was dark and she couldn’t see. She cut her chin open all the way to the bone!!!! I been waiting since 12/20 to resolve this incident, but of course no body is available all the time. The HR is The Worse to deal with! They never call you back!
