Absolutely terrible. 0/5 They never answer their phones, it keeps you on the automated hold and then eventually hangs up. Lines are incredibly long for absolutely no reason, which didn’t even apply to me because I came in to buy merch, I felt bad for everyone else standing in that line pretty much all the way to the escalator. Website isn’t updated enough overall for AMC, which combined with having a phone system that does not work and will never actually connect makes it impossible to find out anything without going into the location itself, not that any single or combined employee or manager would be of any help at all whatsoever. As someone who has already collected all of the available theatre merch for other brands, which have properly and timely released the merch for the movie at their locations; it was frustrating to find out that the 3 nearest AMC locations to me would not be carrying ANY MERCH for the movie, which is what led me to make an hour and a half long drive to THIS location. No employee or manager was able to tell me what day the merch would come out, despite the fact that fan event tickets for the advanced screening have Been sold out for over a week - in fact, they weren’t aware what day it was coming out at first misattributing the day of the week twice. Perhaps the time management troubles from all employees seems to account for the longest line I’ve ever seen at a theatre, let alone one embedded into a boujie shopping mall. I only came all the way over here, for the merch and the fact that there was nothing anyone could do was disappointing because I wish I could’ve just asked that over the phone - they wouldn’t take any advance orders, any shipments or in store orders, wouldn’t hold any information, not even just as a decent manager be able to put a few aside for after it is available so I can shift my plans as necessary to drive over to buy it asap when it is available. All they could do was tell me to come back for the event, which has been sold out for over a week; and I already have tickets do a different brand’s fan event… of which I have already spent, and gladly so, $200 on all the movie that theatre has available for this same movie.
I wish I could say I’m never coming back, but that’s not true, because I will be. I still have to shift my plans aside to make the 1.5 hour drive, each way, to get the merch when it is available because that’s how important the collection is for me. 😩👎
I hope the crew working then are at least a little nicer, but please for the love of anything and everything… If you’re not gonna be helpful in anyway, please just fix your phones and say it so people don’t have to drive over (in my case, over an hour in Florida weather and rush hour traffic) and stand in an insanely long line just...

An Insufferable Experience at AMC Theaters, Aventura
When you pay a premium for what's marketed as an "Early Access Preview" to see "The Creator", especially in an IMAX setting, you expect a certain caliber of experience. Sadly, AMC Theaters in Aventura fell short, and that's putting it mildly.
Upon entering, the stifling atmosphere immediately made it clear that the air conditioning was faulty. Concerned, I promptly notified the staff, expecting a swift resolution or at least an acknowledgment. Despite my repeated efforts to bring it to their attention, the problem persisted. Not once was I forewarned about the AC issue when purchasing the tickets or even after my initial complaint.
A packed theater for a highly-anticipated movie becomes suffocating without adequate ventilation. To make matters worse, the lack of AC seemed to amplify the unpleasant aromas, turning what should've been a cinematic escape into a 2-hour ordeal.
After the credits rolled, all I received was a dismissive 'we're working on it' from the front desk. No apology. No compensation. Not even an inkling of empathy for their patrons who'd endured the discomfort. A suggestion to the AMC management: When facing such issues, it's a basic courtesy to inform your patrons or better yet, move them to another functional auditorium.
It's not a wonder why chains like AMC are struggling in today's era of customer-centric businesses. It's evident that the AMC in Aventura has lost sight of the essence of hospitality and the importance of valuing their clientele.
To anyone seeking a truly premium movie-going experience, I'd suggest taking a short drive to the iPIC in North Miami Beach. It might be pricier, but at least they uphold the standards you'd expect for the money you spend.
I, for one, won't be returning to this AMC. If they can't handle the basics of customer service, they don’t deserve our...
Read moreOn Sunday, I took my little brother to the AMC theater to watch Onward. I am rating this AMC one star because it is too expensive for what you’re getting and the vender service sucks. One adult ticket is $18 before tax and a child’s ticket is $15 before tax. Which is already $33. At the concession stand we ordered two flat bread pizzas which where $15 each before tax and adding the drinks brought it to about $43 I had to pay for food. After ordering, we were told it would be about 12 minutes before our food would be ready which makes sense since they had to make the pizza. So I decided to take my little brother inside to get settled in so he could watch the movie. when we arrived in the theater I was extremely disappointed to see that the seats were not recliner seats. They were just regular old movie seats for almost $20 A PERSON AFTER TAX. ( you can go to regal and get a COLLEGE student ticket for $12 AFTER TAX and have fully automated recliner seats!) After settling my brother in, I went back out to get our food. I stood in line waiting for my food, with a few other customers, for about 20 minutes before someone came to help us. When I asked why he was taking so long to help one person I was told he was the only one dealing with the pickup line and he was also the one making the food. The sad part is my pizzas were already made and just sitting there to be given to me. By the time I got the food the pizzas were cold and 30 minutes had passed so I missed the first part of the movie. At the end of the day, I spent a almost $80 for a SUBPAR experience. Safe to say I will never return to an AMC ( especially this one)...
