After three frustrating faulty iPad screen replacements, iShop in Avon left me WORSE OFF than when I first tried them. Their final offer to make it right? A disassembled iPad and a refund. To say I am extremely unhappy with the repair service, the quality of materials being used, and the customer service is an understatement. The Ishop replaced the screen on my iPad Pro in Dec 2019. The screen later developed “dead zones” approximately 13 months later, where it was not responsive to touch down the left hand side of the screen. I contacted the Ishop and Dustin (the tech working at the time) replaced it under warranty in less than two hours. Two weeks after this warranty replacement the home button became very wiggly and protruded above the surface of the iPad, and there was light leaking out from the screen’s borders. I returned to the Ishop, again, for another warranty replacement. At pickup, I immediately noticed that new screen #3 had a shadowy haze all along the bottom edge (the home button side of the screen). I pointed it out to Dustin, the tech, and he said all their screens of this model are doing that. I said it wasn’t like that before, and he said that was his last one. He then offered to remove the screen and give me a refund. This would have left me WORSE OFF than when I came in here - an entirely unusable iPad. I am extremely unhappy with the repair service, the quality of materials being used, and the customer service here. They have been responsive and quick to offer warranty repair, but being in here three separate times and still not having a good screen is extremely...
Read moreWhile on vacation I got some water into the home button of my iPhone 6s. On our return I had my wife run my phone up to the store. We had good experiences in the past but have been fortunate enough to not need their services since they were in their old location. We expected the same this time around.
When my wife walked in as they opened on April 10th she was greeted by a guy who seemed rather unwilling to hear anything about the problem and cut her off by saying "long story short, it got wet". With only a cursory inspection taking less than 5 minutes he had declared the problem was with the motherboard and we'd be better off getting a new phone. Now, I was fairly certain it was just the home button so I got a second opinion. I took it down the road to another repair shop with good reviews and they found it was indeed the home button and fixed it. It works great except for the loss of Touch ID (which can't be avoided and I knew ahead of time). Had I taken the iShop advice I would be $250-500 in hole right now. I'm glad I didn't.
So, the iShop may be great for fixing broken screens (which seems to be 90% of the reviews) but they certainly failed when it came to even trying to diagnose or fix this...
Read moreI retract this statement the owner got in contact with me and he got my phone fixed no problems at all great ownership!! I give him 5 stars
If It were possible I wouldn't give them one. I take my iPhone 6s Plus a few weeks after the new year to them because I wanted to replace my screen and last night it died but would not charge at all. So I pay something around $280 for the screen a new battery. I leave and i I put it on a real apple charger and as I'm waiting I notice it's stuck at 73%. So I bring it back and they replace battery again for free. But one week later this phone doesn't charge past 73 % and dies just like the beginning issue. I take it back and asked them to find out what's the problem, I'm $280 invested so at this point I'm like let's just get thing fixed. They take my phone I. The back for about 4min comes out and says well I don't know man sorry. Not only that they couldn't have the decency to put the phone back together on the inside only put the phone screen and back together so it just shakes around inside of the phone. Very disappointing service I was very polite and they basically told me to get lost as nice as they could. Trust me you be back 10x with your same problem you...
