What happened to this place? I think the employees are trying to sabotage this store. I enter the store and grab a number at the gun counter. Two Sportsman's guys are behind the counter. One guy is checking out an AR purchase and another one is helping a customer looking at guns. No problem. 20 minutes later the AR guy is still checking out his guy and the other guy has made it half way up the gun display pulling out a gun at every rack. I start to walk around the aisles to stay close enough to hear my number. Another 20 minutes later and the guy is still trying to assemble the AR out of the box and the other guy has almost made it to the end of the display case showing a rifle from each rack. No one in the store has asked me if I need any help since I walked in. The guy walking the gun display finally wraps and goes to help the guy trying to figure out how to assemble the new AR out of the box. Another 15 minutes and the display walker ask me if i need any help? Sure! But wait! The guy that was walking the counter looking at all the guns and not buying any tells his "friend" at the counter he found a 25 count box of ammo missing 6 shells. "Please Hold" while the employee goes to talk to the two employees that are wandering around the aisles avoiding all customer contact. I've had enough so i go grab the other things I came for and head to the check out. No one is at the register, but two other employees are 20' away talking to each other. Finally, I tell them I'm ready to check out. So after a couple minutes one of the two guys walks over to check me out. He was having difficulty picking up the items and finding the scan on the box. He could only use the pads of his fingers since he had very long nails and had just had his nails painted and a manicure. Every other item he would stop and inspect his finger nails. I thought I was on a hidden camera for a skit on how much abuse a customer would tolerate. Sportsmans, check your instore video out and do some quality control! The employees had started to complain a couple years ago when Bass Pro bought them out. This was like an episode of the twilight zone and your stuck in a store with the employees trying to close it down. I miss the store at...
Read moreWorst experience ever. Went last night picked out my gun placed it on hold called this morning confirmed my gun was still on hold because I would need to leave work and drive a good ways to get there, they confirmed, cool, I said I was on my way and we ready to purchase. After driving 30 minutes from buckeye and leaving work early to start the buying process they had me waiting for about 20 minutes to tell me Antonio sold it earlier that morning. Now waiting almost an hour to see what they could do for me they offered me a $500+ hellcat package or a $485 p365xl. Then a Springfield XD. I explained last night and today that I don’t need a huge package or a bigger gun then I needed I needed it for protection. I asked to speak to the original manager who offered me the discount just for him not to come out. No one was willing to really make anything right or really work with my needs and what I was asking. Which clearly shouldn’t have been a shocker because they’re can’t even keep their own word. The workers were all unprofessional, rude, had no shame and couldn’t even muster up a hey let me make it right just a little 10% off and higher prices. If you don’t chew, smell like some kind of animal piss or just have a d*ck they won’t give you the time of day, instead they will talk about how they don’t care if they sold the gun and then laugh at your situation with every other customer in front of your face and then tell you there’s nothing they can do for you. Outside of a bad experience i genuinely just became very turned off by the fact that they would sell me any gun to get me out their face instead of something I am happy and COMFORTABLE with. Good way to get hurt...
Read moreI went to purchase a firearm a couple days ago from this location. I couple decide between a Hellcat Subcompact or a P365. I was very interested in purchasing the Hellcat. The salesman that was helping me gave me some tips on using the firearm and tips for a holster. Which I appreciated. I gave him my identification and CCW card as well he went to the computer and came back stating the credit card processing machine was not working at the time. I did also give him proof of my current address as it wasn’t current on my drivers license. I asked if he could hold the firearm and holster till the machines came back up. He wrote down my info and said he would call me back. After several hours I called back to the store to see if the card machines were working the customer service rep said I think they are. (2 days now and no call back). So I asked to be transferred back to the gun counter to see if the items I wanted to purchase were still being held as we have a drive a distance to get there. He said he would transfer me to the gun department so I sat on hold for quite sometime to only realize they hung up on me. I have yet to receive a callback. I have shopped at Sportsman’s for years even in Colorado. I even took my CCW classes at Sportsman. I feel like they totally blew me off as a customer and will not do business with them anymore. I have no idea why I would have been blown off like this. But this needs to be addressed at the store management level as I have read numerous complaints from other woman shoppers purchasing firearms and being discredited as actual firearm user. So I have reason to believe now that they blew me off simply being a female...
