I normally don’t leave reviews, but I attended my first escape room earlier today with my husband along with a couple of friends and was sadly disappointed by the experience. The employee Raina who was on duty was rude, unfriendly, and did not have the room properly set up (they had to open one of the doors in the room to give us an item that was very much needed to continue solving the escape room) and we’re fairly certain the clock might have started before we even entered the room. We were given conflicting information in the beginning on how we could receive clues if needed. We felt discriminated against. I can’t help but feel that maybe if we weren’t a mixed race group of people, would our experience have been different? At one point when trying to look for clues, my husband used the light from his phone in order to see the room better because of how dimly lit the room was. Raina came over the speakers at least twice and made it sound like we were doing something inappropriate which we were not. Felt like we were being reprimanded and under heavy surveillance. Because of this, it threw us off our trail when in reality the clue that we were attempting to find was indeed the missing clue that was needed to solve, to reach the next step which also interfered with our time spent in the room. This is on top of being shorted the minutes we were initially cheated upon entry of the escape room. We also did not appreciate her tone and how she spoke to us. Raina lacked a lot of joy and enthusiasm as well.Customer service was definitely lacking which is unfortunate. Needless to say, we shall not be returning nor would we recommend this...
Read moreGroup of 5, each of us have done between 10-30 escape rooms. This trip we completed Blackout and Speakeasy.
First note I'd like to make is service was excellent. All staff was incredibly friendly, Jasie even stayed late so we could do both rooms before we left town. She was a fantastic game master and everything in the rooms ran smoothly.
Blackout (4/5 stars) - The set was a lot of fun, they made fantastic use of the limited space. The puzzles connected cohesively and some props really added to the thrill of the room. Our only note is that we finished the room having skipped a puzzle, apparently that's pretty common, and we wished it was more.... prominent(?). 19 minutes left.
Speakeasy (3/5 stars) - Once again, set was really nice, but this time we felt the majority of puzzles weren't integrated as well into the props. We wandered around the room a little more with this one, wishing some of the red herrings were actually part of the escape (looking at you, false bottom drawer). On the other hand, one prop was used four times and felt a little repetitive. 9 minutes left.
Thanks for letting us take photos in the actual room! It's a little thing but we appreciate it. Also, once again, the staff was great. They say they might add another room - looking...
Read moreCame here with 11 family members from 10 to 85 years old. This was a first for some, a second for others and then a few of us (including me) have been to several different escape room games around the the US. This was my absolute favorite which is in Brentwood, TN but this was an excellent one and definitely the most beautifully decorated AND the only one I've been to that serves alcohol! Super cool. The alcohol is pricey but we didn't care. It was a nice option to have! We did the Blackout Motel. I don't recall the level but it was possibly the easist one we've ever done. We escaped using 2 out of our 4 hints (one was on accident (ahem, Peg) and in about 45 minutes. But I guess I'd rather escape easily than not! Lol There were a lot of clues that were irrelevant. They were in the process of building a new one that looked awesome. Maybe we'll do that next time we're in town. The two staff members we talked to said the 20s speakeasy was their favorite which was the one we wanted to do originally but it only holds 8 people. I definitely recommend this escape room. Good technology and they put a lot of...
