The Beverage Barn — Attraction in Bandon

Great service and huge selection. I am extremely satisfied with my first visit to this store. I always stop at the Creamery to pick up cheese and beer. They were out of the beer I wanted and directed me to the Beverage Barn. I've past it several times thinking it looked interesting but never stopped. Now I wish I had long ago. You walk in to an amazing atmosphere with all types of beer and alcoholic beverages but with a Cabela's look to it. With various animal mounts on the walls. I had to take a quick video because I was so impressed. I then looked for my beer. I found where it was, the slot was empty. I went to the counter and asked if they had any somewhere else in the building. Two employees helped look, one check computer stocking while the other checked the floor. The computer said they had some still but no where to be seen. With a quick phone call to the owner they discovered the beer was taken to the local farmer's market and that there was one bottle left. The owner offered to let me come to the market even though it was closed and pick up my my. I just had to purchase it at the store. I was so excited because I have been looking forward to this beer for almost 3 months. This is going the extra mile. I got my beer and Lori, the owner told me that anytime I'm after something special that she would be happy to order it for me. Woohoo! I ordered an uncommon type (Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier - Urbock, among the world‘s absolute greatest offerings), and the kind and affable folks at the Beverage Barn came up with it in a hurry, charged me no deposit, notified me promptly when it arrived, held it for me until I could get their, and offered a discount for ordering the case. They held on to my order in the event that I wanted to order it again, and greeted me by name, making the service feel neighborly and personal… I can’t overstate how excellent my experience here was. They also carry a diverse selection of local offerings, where my wife was able to score an absolutely excellent Oregon Pinot Noir. I went here every single day faithfully and spent $20+ never anything less.Until one day we were late for a family event and we waited and waited at least 10 minutes for the employee at the window to stop socializing and petting the dogs in the car in front of us. Finally after about 12 minutes of waiting and the huge line of cars built up behind us it was our turn.We simply ordered our regular I handed my cash (I said nothing rude @ all) The little girl working said (don't come back dude) ! So as I drove away I said F@#k you)!! Still can't figure out why she said dont come back. Probably because I didn't sit at the window socializing.
