Great tour if you just want to spend a short amount of time in the park. We went towards the end of October and our tour guide did not know that you no longer had to make reservations in certain parts of park or where in the park the bathrooms would be open. But she continued to tell our group that if they were coming on there own they had to do so but you no longer have to after the middle of of October. That is something the tour agency should have kept her updated on. We got the premium tour the tour did feel very rushed and I felt that stopping at some places was a waste of time. In October gardens are dead I would rather see the beach that is listed in the brochure for us to see. We just stopped and was told if you walk down there is a beach then continued driving. If it is listed in the brochure you should be given time to see it. I also did not like the fact that the tour guide had a friend that worked for Martha Stewart and she asked her friend about Martha and then tells all the people she gives tours to what Martha is like and how she treats her staff. I have met several famous people in my lifetime just out of luck I guess. It's just not a great idea to bash someone because you never know who else you are talking too. Things I enjoyed about the tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and informative. The views were spectacular. I liked that our guide did wait for people that didn't return in time. I liked that our guide was funny and held the attention of the people on the bus. Loved her accent and how the accent came about. The history of the British and the French. So how could the premium tour improve the bus could be all windows top and sides... Lol...
Read moreWhat a great way to see Acadia! I've been to Acadia National Park a few times and this tour was by far the best experience. Our guide provided a wealth of information on the history and area. I learned so much! We also visited during the peak season, so crowds are a challenge especially with parking and accessing certain areas. However, when you're with Acadia National Park Tours, you have VIP access and do not have to worry about trying to find parking! We were dropped off at each location and did not have to walk far. The transportation was smooth, spacious, and includes A/C :) I highly recommend for newbies to Acadia for an overview of the park, as well as families, or groups traveling together. In addition, the customer service is excellent! I emailed the company prior to the trip to ask a few questions and they responded immediately....
Read moreThis tour is a great way to see Acadia National Park if aren't looking to spend all day in the park, and instead want to see the highlights. Our bus was about half full which allowed us to move back and forth in the bus to the areas that had the best views. Our tour guide was kind and even changed the route for us so we could see more things. This tour was great because we hit the "famous" portions of the park and were accompanied by a brief history of each spot. It was very nice to not have to worry about parking, where we should go in the park, or why these areas are significant. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, but a better history or better narration would have improved the trip. Again, this is a great option if you want to see the park, but don't want to do any hiking, as each stop is only short enough to take some...
