My husband and I have been visiting Maine for our past 3 vacations; and for the past 2, we've stayed near Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. I first visited Tree of Life in 2016 where I booked a deep tissue massage and facial, both of which were perfect. I raved about my experience so much that my family purchased a very generous gift certificate for me for my 40th birthday. If Tree of Life was closer than the 12 hour drive from Buffalo to Bar Harbor, I would have driven there much sooner to redeem the gift certificate because this is absolutely the best place to relax, unwind and pamper yourself.

In 2017, I booked a 90 minute deep tissue massage and a Chocolate and Cherries facial, both with Kiana. Both were perfect.

I've been getting deep tissue massages for over 10 years. I have a desk job and suffer from migraines so I need my therapists to gently work up to very deep pressure to work on trigger points and deep knots. Kiana asked how much pressure I'd like and my standard response of "feel free to beat me with a tire iron" was accepted and definitely delivered. It's been at least two weeks since the massage and I still feel fantastic!

After the massage, I put a comfy robe on, drank a glass of water, and waited in the Tea Room while Kiana prepared the room for my facial.

I chose the Chocolate & Cherries facial and wish I could have one of these weekly! It was amazing! My skin tingled just enough to know the products were working, the hot towels felt wonderful and every product used was explained. My 40 year old skin was glowing after the facial, and the "selfie" I posted on Facebook afterwards to memorialize this beautiful day received many compliments - including many that said it certainly doesn't look like my skin is 40 years old. We all know that's the best compliment anyone 40 and over can receive. The product line used here is Ilike (ee-lee-ka) which is the parent company of Eminence. I've had both Eminence and Ilike facials and while both are great, Ilike was astonishing. I plan to order some of their products after this experience at Tree of Life to keep people guessing my age!

Kiana and I chatted through the whole experience and that's my preference. I like to get to know my therapists and aestheticians, because for me it enriches the experience and when traveling, local business owners always have the BEST recommendations.

I would repeatedly and highly recommend a trip to Tree of Life. It is clean, quiet, relaxing and every client is treated respectfully and beautifully so you can have a divine day of pampering at the spa.

Don't bother looking for anywhere other than Tree of Life to treat yourself. And if you're local to Bar Harbor, be sure you are visiting often - you will ALWAYS...

I do not recommend this spa because I scheduled an appointment a day in advance, which was approved, reconfirmed the next morning, then cancelled when I arrived. The owner does not deliver on commitments. I came to visit Bar Harbor and was really sore from traveling so I booked an appointment for a massage for the morning after I got into town. I got a call from the owner an hour before my 10:15 appointment asking if I could come at a later time due to “personnel issues.” I informed him that would not work as I already had other activities booked that day. He assured me that I could still come at my originally scheduled time. I then get a text at 10:00am asking if I could come 10 minutes later than my scheduled time due to his massage therapist being late, which was fine. After arrival I filled out the paperwork, then was informed that he had to cancel my massage. At that point it was too late to schedule anywhere else. I was with a group and we had many events planned. The entire point of booking this massage was so that I could enjoy my day without being sore and which did not occur due to this issue. I was very frustrated and disappointed. I later learned there are many other spas in town that deliver on their promise so I would recommend choosing somewhere else. Harborside Hotel Spa...

I cannot say enough about my experience with the signature massage and facial I received from Kiana! The space itself is very calming and relaxing. The massage was none like I’ve ever experienced before! The manipulations were detailed and flowed flawlessly to the specific targeted areas we discussed during the consultation. Her knowledge of how to meet my needs with the according manipulations was incredible and reflected in how amazing I felt at the time and still feel hours later. I had never received a professional facial before so wasn’t sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised! Again, the manipulations on my face, neck and shoulders felt so relaxing! The feel of the multiple products felt luxurious and didn’t leave my skin feeling irritated or greasy. The time between my massage and facial was just as relaxing as I was provided a robe that I could’ve lived in! It was so snuggly and warm! After getting into my robe, I was welcomed to wait in the tea room to relax as she set up for my facial. I didn’t partake in the chocolate that was available but it was a sweet treat to have available with the hot tea. My overall experience was fantastic and I can’t wait to go...
