Hobby Lobby — Attraction in Battle Creek

Me, my Boyfriend and our friend went to hobby lobby today to run some errands and look around. When we were heading to check out I had gone first and a lady (i don’t recall her name sadly) had checked me out. My friend who happens to be Hispanic stood right behind me and as he was walking up she turned around and walked away without saying anything. My friend stood kind of confused because she didn’t acknowledge him or even tell him that her lane was “closed”. She had walked off to the entrance area where people can come into the building ( the opening area that sometimes has furniture out there and stuff) and stood around as my friend went to the neighbor lane. Right as he was checking his stuff out with the other cashier the lady then immediately returns as she looks and sees a new customer (a white middle aged man) had just walked up to her lane. I don’t care if some will take my review and think that I’m “exaggerating” or “making something it’s not” because my friend was very uncomfortable and it was very apparent that she was signaling him out as someone she chose to ignore and refuse to help. my mother and I were checking out and my mom payed for her stuff first and she got her change back with a five dollar bill that came out of her register which looked like it was glued or something and my mom showed me as Bethanie our cashier was scanning my items and so my mom gave me the 5 to pay with so we could get rid of it and I gave it to her with the rest of my cash and she looks at it and says that the numbers aren't right and calls over another lady and then gets a manager to say it doesn't look right and we tried explaining that she literally gave us the 5 dollar bill as change from her register and she wouldn't believe us and said "no I don't remember giving you that 5" and the manager said "its okay drop it its just a 5 we will take it." then she says to us "i hope you have a great Christmas if I get fired" with a very disrespectful tone and we didn't do anything wrong and it wasn't even our 5 bill to begin with. we have never been so disrespected in that hobby...

Typically love hobby lobby! Have recommended so many people to shop there. Great selection and great prices with entire depts at 50% off. My recent experience has left me wondering if I will consider shopping here again! Was looking for new knobs for kitchen cabinets. Found some I absolutely loved! They did not have the 24 I needed in stock. So, I placed an order. Over 6 weeks passed with me calling twice to inquire. Now, I am told there is nothing they can do, they don't call until the order comes in, and they cannot control when it will. They even told me they have a customer who has now been waiting more than 3 months for knobs! They then say do you want us to try to order them again!? To which I explain the lack of communication is disappointing and this is terrible customer service. I have learned my lesson...I will NEVER order again from them when something is not in stock.
