Cleveland Consignment Shoppe — Attraction in Beachwood

I am incredibly disheartened and let down by the new location and ownership of this previously amazing store. I have put off writing this review but after being into the new shop 5-6 times now, I’m disappointed beyond belief. For some contrast- the people who used to work at this store were cheerful and friendly, easy to shop with, and enjoyable. The shop used to be home to exclusively designer items, and had fair and fantastic prices for the high-end designer pieces. The layout of the shop was easy to navigate, made sense how it was set up, and had nice flow throughout the shop. The first time I went in to the new shop, the store clerks were rude and not helpful whatsoever- and I was the only person in the store. I felt like I was out of place. The consigned items for sale are now anything and everything, including things like Marc Fisher, and random mall brands that I’ve never heard of but are cheaply made. What makes it different now than Plato’s closet? The prices of the designer items are now exorbitant. For example, with the previous ownership, there was a rare color Lady Dior bag for $650 that was in pristine condition. An extremely rare Fendi baguette for $450. On the site now, there is Lady Dior for twice the price of this. The layout is awful and counterintuitive and it’s not enjoyable.

I am writing this with despair as I was a previous regular consignor and shopping at the old shop.

I urge the new owners to consult with the previous owners for advice to get back to where they were before this switch. I am disappointed...

Thank you CCS for the most incredible experience. I have been on the search for a Tag Heurer watch for a few years now and I found the perfect match at CCS! It was love at first sight!
