We ventured the hour plus trip on a snowy Friday evening to try this interesting place. After being met at the door with a little weirdness, at 830/9pm, we returned to our car to contemplate what we were to do next. After about 5 minutes or so the hostess/bartender/server/everything came to my car and told us that the kitchen had mistaken a Friday night for a Thursday night and invited us back inside. After the snafu she seemed a little frazzled at having to preform the jobs of the entire front of house but we assured her we weren’t picky and to take her time we were in no rush and didn’t plan on being difficult. We ordered drinks, an old fashioned and a spicy marg. The smoking apparatus apparently had been down for sometime but it wasn’t a big deal and overall the old fashioned was pretty ok. At least the bourbon wasn’t Evan. It was actually bullet. Bonus points. It was missing the orange but the black cherry was on point. The spicy marg was in fact not so spicy unless you drank from the rim, they put it in a mason jar glass with a straw. It had a strong jalapeño taste and was tart. We ordered the big back burger and the salmon shrimp Philly and a side of sweet potato fries. If you’re not a big back do not order this burger. My husband was impressed with the burger, to say the least and the sweet potato fries were the added touch to push him over the edge. I had the salmon and shrimp Philly and it was great. The shrimp were cooked to perfection and the salmon was tender and juicy. It was slightly spicy, I can’t do much spice so maybe not to someone who can, but not overly so. I honestly would have expected this quality of seafood from a costal town, seaside not lake side. Over all kinda pricy for a sandwich place, they do in fact have forks. Our bill with 20% gratuity was about $100. The only complaint I would have was that this is the only place where I would say DoorDash took away from the experience. Dashers in and out every few minutes was distracting and made the “dining room” chilly. Maybe switch them to the back door only as this is where the pick window is for them. We will happily check them off our places to eat list but unless in the area for another reason probably will not be returning because of the price. Don’t let this stop anyone from trying them for the first time though as you could find a new fav here.

Terrible experience today! Our server told us the gratuity that was included was only 10%. My cousin asked for a print out of the bill and we found out the gratuity was 20% she lied to us. We ordered the kids food first and requested that their food come out first. My little cousins fries never came out. The charged us an additional $3 for our cocktails even though we ordered a drink that is normally a shot. But we were not made aware of this additional charge. Our host complained about her knee pain 12 times. We started counting because it was a bit ridiculous. She didn’t even walk away from our table fully before complaining across the room to the bar. The host…. That child never smiled and had a messed up attitude. At any restaurant the host is the first person the guest see when they walk in. A simple smile and welcome to our restaurant would have been nice. We were told we couldn’t order a mimosa because they were out of champagne but half way through our meal we heard the bartender pop a champagne bottle and pour 3 mimosas for folks who arrived after us. Then they charge you for the sauce that comes with the burger but that sauce is not enough. Lastly, by the time we ordered our food there was only 3 tables in the restaurant so why did it take over an hour for our food to arrive. The kitchen was blasting music and sounded like they were having a party instead of cooking our food. Also, kitchen staff kept going to the bar to chit chat & the bar staff was standing around when they could have been helping clean tables. I love to support black owned businesses but this place needs a training in hospitality to all the employees. Food was really good though!!!

No table service (beyond delivering the food), you order at the counter. Pluses are fresh & ample ingredients in their Big Breakfast. It's VERY filling. I got mine with sausage patties (really tender) & the scrambled eggs were very good. But... Their breakfast menu didn't have many choices that I considered & I opted for the Big Breakfast, 3rd choice, as they wouldn't exclude green peppers in my 1st 2 choices. Their "plating" was different (metal baking sheet - see the pic), just happy it wasn't on plastic dinnerware. Nothing was close to being economically priced. They only have flavored (sweetened) coffee creamers - I don't drink sweet coffee. I ordered water, thinking I'd get a glass of it - but, that turned out to be bottled water (more plastic to deal with & the $2 was another negative. I am ecologically opposed to plastic "silverware", that's what they provide. We were too early for lunch - I didn't bother perusing the lunch fare. It's doubtful either of us would return.

The food was hot,hot . I enjoyed the birthday behavior drink and even came with a sparkler. CATFISH fried and seasoned. It was almost too pretty to eat. Wrap is huge. Loved the fried zucchini sticks. Philly steak was also huge. Chicken crispy and golden. Friendly hostess. I loved the music playing. it seems to be black owned. My only complaint was the auto gratuity of 20% for large groups, for the extra 49.95 my party could have set separately, lol. Then, there's the suggested additional tip from 2%-7% on the receipt. Party of six, and we all left with to go containers plus extra food was ordered to go. Highest bill for food I ever paid for, and I only ordered 1 drink. Whew, child. Plus, a tip was left on the table. All in all, we paid a little over $100 in tips, and food totaled $248.25, and taxes were $23.16. Convince of paying for meals by scanning QR code, A-1. No one had to handle my card.

We were excited to visit No Fork Restaurant in Beachwood after seeing an Instagram Reel about it. We arrived for dinner around 7:30 PM, but the restaurant was empty except for two people waiting for a takeout order and us. The bartender was kind, but the service was very slow, and she seemed indifferent. We placed our orders quickly, but unfortunately, we waited about 35 to 40 minutes for our burgers. The burgers themselves were good, but the fries and mozzarella sticks tasted like frozen, store-bought items and could have been cooked longer. Although we arrived two and a half hours before closing and there were no other diners, some of the staff began mopping and cleaning tables while using strong cleaning chemicals. This made for an overwhelming smell during our wait. Regrettably, we will not be returning and do not recommend the restaurant overall.

When I say I freakin LOVED every bit that I took. The French toast was so fluffy and soft, flavor was omg & the drizzle y’all was sweet but wasn’t too sweet. But my personal opinion I would’ve like more drizzle & strawberries. Now let’s get into the peach cobbler waffle & chickens. I would’ve like the peach juices to be a little sweeter and the peaches a little more cooked but the crunch on the waffle & the flavor was yummy in my tummy lol. And the chicken was still crispy and moist & seasoned perfectly. The potatoes was great just like my veggies chopped up but they were sautéed perfectly. And y’all this was on some eating in the car while running errands. Next time I will be dinning in so I can give yall the full experience. I give them a 9/10!! Go support NOW. Signed, The Queen #620
