Everything about this experience was pure amazing. The decor was cozy with nice dim lighting which was great celebrating our 1 year together! The staff was just fantastic. Very attentive, friendly, our server even was joking along with us, and the woman who brought our entree to the table even offered to take our food back since my boyfriend was in the restroom and not ready for his meal...obviously I said it was fine but the thought really counted. Our food was the best around! The bread basket that came out was so warm and fresh and the oil over the butter gave it a great flavor. We decided to try the crab cake which was delicious with that hint if lemon zest, but we just wish we had slightly more sauce for it. We decided to dine before 6pm and had the early dinner menu with the petite filet mignon. Lobster bisque was what I chose for my starter and it was so creamy and they put the Lobster fresh into the bisque right in front of you. Probably the best Lobster bisque I have ever tried. Our main entree came out with great timing after our bisque and they cooked my medium steak and his rare steak to perfection. The steak was so melt in your mouth. The sauce paired with the twin filets was on point and I enjoyed the onion straws with my bites of steak. The best part....dessert. I'm a red velvet cake fan and i am SO glad we decided to split dessert because HELLO...look at the size of that thing 😂 our server came over and cut the cake for us so we had a good portion yet didn't ruin it to package it up for home, which it still couldn't fit in the box. We are big water fans and don't drink alcoholic beverages so for all of stated above, our meal was $112 which is a great price for what we both got. Again this is based on the early night dinner menu that's before 6pm. I would 100% give this place a try if you have not! I think it's even better than it was 10 even 5yrs ago. I love seeing my favorites still on the menu like the calamari which we didn't get this time, but the Thai Chili flavor is amazing on that appetizer. Plus I have never known the staff to be so friendly before. It was appreciated and memorable!

My wife and I decided to go to Hyde Park at Beachwood for our anniversary. We'd been there before some time ago and were really looking forward to an opportunity to go back. This was it! When we were brought to our table, we were pleasantly surprised by a sprinkling of rose petals on the table, and a card from Hyde Park congratulating us on our anniversary. However, that was immediately trumped by the dirty seat that was offered to my wife to sit in. Mine had bread crumbs all over it as well. After requesting that our seats be cleaned and waiting for them to dry, we were finally able to sit down. Our waitress, although friendly, seemed very distracted and, as a result, somewhat inattentive. I know that waiting tables can be a tough job. I've done it before - it's not easy by any stretch of the imagination. Whereas I did have compassion for her, this was our anniversary. So that took away from the occasion for us. When we ordered our food, my wife and I both got steaks, a salad, and some sides. I had Surf and Turf with the Filet Mignon and the Lobster Tails, a Baked Potato, and Spinach with Mushrooms for my sides. My wife had the New York Strip, Whipped Potatoes, and Brussel Sprouts. It did seem to take a REALLY long time for it to come out. When it did, the food was lack-luster. The presentation of the food left much to be desired. It looked as though they'd thrown my food on the plate just to get it out. My wife's Brussel Sprouts were both burnt and underdone. And my steak was not very well seasoned. It wasn't horrible, just lack-luster. We sent the Brussel Sprouts back with no issue. Our waitress took it off of our bill right away. But the experience overall was disappointing. We were really excited and looking forward to getting back to this restaurant. But this visit just didn't provide us with the level of service and quality meal that we were expecting. Especially in the light of the fact that we spent over $200 on that meal. I'd say the final blow for me was when we got up to leave, and I found dust on the sleeve of my coat that I'd set on the bench beside me while I ate. (There was a LOT of dust, like it had not been cleaned in a long time!) It made me feel that the cleanliness this restaurant once had slipped pretty far from where it once was. Which further indicated to me that coming here was not the best choice. There's a pretty good chance we won't be coming back to patronize this establishment again. That makes me pretty sad.

Oh how the mighty have fallen! Hyde Park used to be a great steakhouse, I remember going to its' first location at Coventry and loving it. However after two visits in the past 2 months, I can honestly say I will never go back, unless it is their Daytona location, which doesn't even deserve to be listed with this disgusting, dirty and apathetic location. I took my mother to this location in September for her birthday and the food was good, however we had to beg for an early bird menu and our waiter complained throughout our entire meal that he hated his job and the company he worked for. Last night, we tried again. Our party consisted of my mother, her boyfriend, my aunt (from Daytona) and her friend from NYC and myself. We were given a table in the bar right by the front door and were wearing our coats throughout the meal. I ordered a dinner salad with crab and a lobster bisque. While the rest of the table received their food, I had yet to get my soup. The entire party was finished eating by the time my soup came. We waited another 15 minutes until we saw our waiter and told him to box up my salad which hadn't even made it to the table yet, as everyone was ready to go. When I got my salad, i decided to look at it before we paid and l was completely disappointed. For a dinner salad that is $21.95, i saw a sad, warm, pile of iceberg lettuce and a few flakes of crab on the bottom. I lost my appetite and told the server to keep the salad as i didn't want it. I would think an entree salad would be a whole lot better than what they gave me. Or at least bring some of your bread (yeah, they forgot that too) to make it actually look like a meal. The night was ruined. The workers showed a complete lack of interest in us or in rectifying the matter. And we left disappointed. Utterly disappointed.

Right off the rip: This is not for those that are unused to being handed a check in three figures! However, I was treated to this -- and what a treat it was! Service was top-notch, as was the food with one minimal exception: I could have made slightly more interesting mashed potatoes. Okay, one other exception: Another guest at my table said the French onion soup wasn't exciting (I had it, and thought it was fine). Now, for the sake of being gracious toward my dinner host, I didn't order wine. My code is not order a glass of wine if the price is more than I would pay for a whole bottle at Giant Eagle! Yeah, I don't get out much. However, and you may laugh -- More than one party at my table said the water was exceptional! It was. Check out their bread basket, containing what looked for all the world like soft pretzels. Brilliant. Surf and turf: top notch. Desserts: to die for. Oh, and make sure to finish the night off with their signiture coffee. Now, my minimal criticism: The room we dined in was LOUD. Not the restaurant's fault. The party next to us seemed flat out unaware that they were not the only guests in the room that night. I was able to tune out most of the background noise with the help of a pair of really good hearing aides -- But, sometimes it was difficult for the other five guests to hear each other. Oh, and managemen: Please tell the bass player NOT to solo on every tune. Mingus didn't solo on every tune. Sorry. It's just me. Bottom line: This was easily the best dining experience I've had in recent memory! If you have something to celebrate (preferably quietly, if I'm there, too), you won't regret treating yourself to Hyde Park.

IMPORTANT : Food is very filling and satisfying! I never had such great food before. The display of each plate, the flavor, and the smell was just astonishing. Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse is worth every single penny. The CHICKEN MILANESE was sweet, savory and mouth watering. Chicken was cooked to perfection. The ribeye steak with roasted garlic and mushrooms was so tasteful and pleasant. The ribeye melted in my mouth and the garlic was so soft that it reminded me of mashed potatoes. The lobster mac and cheese, corn side, and the actual garlic mashed potatoes were so wonderfully made. Desert was so much for the price you pay. The chocolate flourless torte was so rich, 3 bites and you were full. Butter cake was okay, just was a personal thing of mine I just didn't like the bananas with it , but the display of the butter cake was phenomenal (IT WAS ON FIRE!). Then the carrot cake was amazing!!! If you are planning a dinner with you or some people, order 1 slice of carrot cake. It was 1 slice and it fed 6 people and had extra to take home. Now the most important part was our waitress. I wish I caught her name. She was slightly older , had red hair and glasses. She was amazing. She made the whole experience worth while! She explained everything on the menu and told us what each thing had in it and asked if we had any allergies. She made this steak house feel like home. She was so easy to talk to and so kind. I would love her to be my waitress again when we come back. The atmosphere and the kindness of our waitress and the astonishing food made for the best experience I ever had at a restaurant. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! THEY MAKE THIS PLACE FEEL LIKE HOME!
