Aqua 21 Spa — Attraction in Bellingham

One of the most relaxing and inclusive spas in Bellingham! My first experience with Aqua 21 Spa was a bit unconventional. I had a pedicure appointment at a different business for my 21st wedding anniversary. The morning of my appointment the other business owner got COVID and had to cancel my appointment. She immediately recommended Aqua 21 Spa as an alternative. I was shocked that another business would recommend anyone other than themselves. But she was adamant that Aqua 21 Spa was the BEST and they were who she would trust to do a fantastic job. My interest was piqued and I send Aqua 21 Spa a FB message. Vi (owner) immediately got back to me and was even able to work me in at the same time as my other appointment even though it was last minute. When I say I was apprehensive about going to a new place (too many horror stories) it would be an understatement. But from the moment I walked in the door I was pleasantly surprised by how clean, quiet and professional Aqua 21 Spa is. Vi and Thi (sisters) are very personable and helpful. Once I picked my color I sat in the chair and was offered complementary bottled water. The foot bath was incredibly luxuriant and Thi was an amazing masseuse and very meticulous. I had never felt so relaxed during a pedicure. Her nail treatment lasted over a month with heavy use (beach for multiple weeks) with no chips or imperfections. Vi and I talked about getting her business out there and her social media posts. Her nail art is one of a kind and on a much higher level than any other nail salons in Bellingham. OMG!!!! You have to try this place to believe it! My mom and I have tried many Nail Salons before this one.....but they knocked the ball right outta the park, let me tell you!! Never experienced anything like this salon in my life. Talk about attention to detail, and making sure your every need is taken care of- they really put your needs and desires first! When I first arrived, I noticed how small and intimate the salon was, so they can pay attention to the clients they are taking care of- this is why I recommend making an appointment first :-) The pedicure and manicures both came with massages that are out of this world- and totally unexpected! When I arrived with my mom and my girlfriend, I had experienced a really hectic, frantic week, and just wanted to relax. Aqua 21 Spa, took me to a place where I could do that, relax, unwind, and feel totally carefree. That takes a special kind of magic, and the two girls that run this place, Vi and Thi - definitely have that Magic in their fingertips!! You have got to try this place out - become a believer. Aqua 21 is my new go to nail salon! Bellingham has no shortage of nail salons, and I’ve tried 10 of the highest rated nail salons in the area. All of them are just fine, either you get an extremely crowded salon and you’re treated like just another dollar sign, or you get mediocre nails at the end of the day. Aqua 21 has been a dream salon to go to, Vi and her sister are very caring, listen to exactly what you need, and make the entire experience a relaxing and enjoyable one. To top it off, they only use vegan, clean nail polishes. As someone new to vegan nail polish I was skeptical but I’ve been getting manicures from them for the past three months and they last just as long, they’re just as shiny, and they look even better than other salons in the area!
