Couch Kings — Local services in Bellingham

Had a pretty annoying experience with them yesterday. Contacted them about a couch SET that I was interested in, messaged eachother multiple times about it, set up an appointment, rented a uhual, just to get there and he told me he sold one of the couches part of the SET. Why list them as a set to sell them separately, let alone not tell me before I came? Worst communication I’ve ever dealt with a local company, I’m mostly mad I had to waste $70 on a uhual for nothing. All this company did was waste my time and money, the only reason it’s 2 stars and not 1 is because the guy was nice in person so I’ll give him that, but when I wasn’t interested anymore he showed me one ugly set that was just completely mangled by cats and he was trying to upsell me with couch covers for it too to make it look nice, the only place that couch should’ve been is a dump let alone being sold for $600... But they definitely need to work on their communication and make truthful listings, not lying. Mostly mad about them making me waste money on the uhual, they could’ve saved me almost $100 just by doing BASIC communication and being like “oh hey that set you wanted? It’s no longer a set btw” that would’ve been great. So I do not recommend going here. It was a pleasant experience working with Couch Kings. We ended up bouncing to their second location to get a better feel of what our options were due to the type of couch we were interested in. The Couch Kings team worked diligently and were patient as we tried a large swath of different pieces. We eventually settled on a couch. The purchasing process was simple and to the point (they do take card).

Great service! I have massive respect for the guy who runs it so much by himself, picks up the phone, does just good business. If you're wondering there are separate charges for delivery, helping it get moved into your space, and disposal of any old couch. That said the couches are in good condition, kept in a dry sheltered warehouse a bit north of downtown Bellingham down a gravel road. More than anything it's a great deal my couch was $700 originally and ended at just shy of $1100 with delivery, tax, and tip. Same day delivery. Cannot recommend enough.
