Be careful. I was quoted $259 and ended up paying $359 when I picked up! I was never contacted about a price change. See below for details.
I called ahead and got a quote for $259 for an OEM screen replacement on a iPhone XS Max. When I dropped off my phone they looked it over and we discussed pricing (to confirm the quote) and timeline. They asked me questions to fill out my customer profile which included a good contact number and my email address. When I came back to pick up my phone a few hours later, they told me that because my phone was an XS max that the price was actually $359. They said they were happy to change out the screen for me to pick up NEXT DAY if I wasn’t happy with that price. KNOWING they inaccurately quoted me. They never attempted to contact me before starting the project to confirm it was still okay for them to move forward. Instead they took the liberty to decide for me and then when I arrive to pick it up they tell me I either have to pay over $100 more, or pick up next day. I own a marketing agency, my phone is a large part of my job. I couldn’t do next day! While I assume this was a lazy and careless mistake, you’re a business who “specializes” in handling this exact kind of technology. Read moreIf it weren't for Stephen it would be a one star. Took my mac mini to here early Friday morning and they told me it would be ready Monday. I call Monday and they had no idea what was going on for my computer. Several hours later they call me back and tell me I need a new hard drive. Stephen did explain throughly about my options on a hard drive, which I appreciated and spent the extra money to make my mini preform better. They said it should be done that day. I call back close to closing and they told me it wasn't going to be ready until Tuesday. I said great, I am out of town Tuesday so I will pick up first thing Wednesday. Wednesday morning they tell me it is doing an update to come in an hour later. I come back about an hour then they tell me it will be another 45 min, I asked to wait. I wait 45 min to find out the hd wasn't partitioned nor windows loaded. They then told me to come back tomorrow. As I left I thought forget it I will just take it and do it myself. I call and tell them and they say they will have it ready. I stop by again and they give me my items I had left. When I get home I find out they didn't give me my cord. I AGAIN go back and when I get my cord it was a white dirty cord. When I tell Chris it was a dark grey one he argues with me telling me I was wrong and I bought in a white cord. I wouldn't trust them with something as sophisticated as a bowling ball, let alone a PC. 6 months later and still finding that old files (dating back to 1994) and programs weren't copied back to the new hard drive they installed. Gone. Kaput. They are still on the old, malfunctioning hard drive they returned, but just how do you access that clattering heap of data?
11/7/2022 Edit: After the computer was returned to me, I bantered back and forth with the tech between April 21 and May 9 to try and get the problems resolved, including the product key for my MS Office that they didn't reload and along with my 5 seat Bitdefender subscription that they didn't reload, telling me that it was of their opinion that Microsoft Defender was adequate so Bitdefender wasn't reinstalled despite my April 5 request that they do so. It was so difficult to get any resolution on these problems that I finally threw up my hands, took my lumps, repurchased Adobe Acrobat and the MS Office suite. I'm currently shopping for a video editing software because I just discovered that it wasn't reinstalled either and haven't had cause to use it until this week. But yeah, the computer...
