Big Bear Sports - Snow Summit — Attraction in Big Bear Lake

My wife and I came into this store on the morning of Thursday Feb. 29th, 2024 around 9am with the intention of buying some high end ski goggles. We really liked the selection, but the service was horrible - we were treated rudely by a young woman with dark hair who had "Lead" on her employee name tag.

In general, it felt like the employees were annoyed that we were in the store and wanted us to leave, so that they could get back to whatever gossip/conversation they were in the middle of when we walked into the store. (Not that it really stopped them, since they continued to gossip and use less than professional language even in our presence.)

Fortunately, this experience forced us to look off-mountain and we ended up finding some awesome service and Oakleys down the street at Goldsmiths. Save your time and money and go directly to Goldsmiths,...

I purchased a full face helmet and hadn’t even taken it out of the box. 10 minutes after I purchased it I brought it back because it was an impulse buy. The girl at the front desk with dark hair was giving me a hard time but took it back. While walking out of the store she was venting loudly to a coworker that “this rider went down the trails then brought the helmet back because they only needed a helmet for one ride.” This wasn’t the case and the helmet never left the box. I really like the store and the man who works in the store is always friendly but as I’m seeing in other reviews this girl for whatever reason has no respect for customers. Tyler and Anna were above and beyond with their service. I was surprised by how good the service and prices were because I wouldn't normally expect it from a shop so close that its in the ski resort.The place has great prices and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I wish I gave this place a chance earlier because I usually stay away from stores like this so close to the resort, but they have such reasonable prices and friendly customer service so it's definitely worth checking out.
