Carlisle's Meat Market — Attraction in Blairsville

ATTENTION ALL VETERANS!!!!!

My buddy, 93 year old Lt Jack Oliver, now resides in Chatuge nursing home. He called in a panic and said, I WANT REAL PORK CHOPS! So we took a trip to Carlisle's to see what all the talk was about. I told them Jack's story and those sweet angels came out and loved on him and thanked him for his service. She asked if I could bring him back the following weekend because she wanted to do something special for him. We showed up and they presented him with a box. Like a child at Christmas, he tore through that box to find a coffee mug with LT. JACK OLIVER and Cross Cannons as he is an Artillery Officer engraved on it. He cried. To him, as a Korea war veteran and not getting much recognition for that here, he was overwhelmed that he had not been forgotten for his service. That was such a a beautiful gesture to someone they didn't even know!! So let's rally around Carlisle's and give them the support that they showed Lt Oliver!!!!

And by the way, those pork chops were crazy tender and juicy!! We picked up ground Elk, steaks, apple cider, bacon, quail eggs, and sausage. All were FABULOUS!!!!

My family used to regularly shop the Carlisle Meat Market when they were located in Brooksville FL and we were sad to leave them behind when we moved to Georgia. But now the time has come they have opened their new shop in Blairsville GA! They aren’t right down the road like they used to be in FL, but you can bet that we will take the hour to hour and half trip to go buy THE best hamburgers we have ever had. All of their meats are very good, but our favorites are their burgers and sausages! They have so many flavor combinations that you’ll never get bored. We love their burgers so much that anytime we had someone from FL come up to visit us in GA, we would have them stop by Carlisle’s before they come so they could bring some yummy burgers to us. I haven't ever seen a meat market like this, even in a big city. Carlisles offers so many fresh meat options including in-house made sausages, burgers, and different flavors of bacon. The grind of their beef is bigger than what is typically offered and looks amazing. They have tons of spices and sauces as well as cherry pie filling and jarred peaches (which were delicious!). There are compound butters, king crab legs, fish, duck, elk, bison, and venison. Best of all, their prices rival the grocery stores and they have a loyalty program.
