The Chocolate Express — Restaurant in Blue Ridge

I first visited the Chocolate Express several years ago on a trip. I actually visited a coffee shop nearby and bought a couple of truffles there to try out then noticed this shop and decided to try a couple to compare in addition to some fudge! Once I tried both, the Chocolate Express by far was better. I decided to go back before I headed home. Unfortunately, they were closed so I missed out that day haha! But I visited the next time I was in Blue Ridge then realized I could order online which was such a treat! I have ordered online a few times and love it every time! I have called the shop to ask questions in the past and I have been in person a couple times. Everyone is always so nice and helpful! For my most recent order I actually ordered some treats for my birthday. I received a call saying the delivery service somehow got it mixed up and sent it to another location! Overall I knew the delivery services had been going a bit slower with the holidays so I definitely do not blame the shop for that and honestly expected a later arrival considering the holidays and black friday. When I received the call from the store and was told about the issue, i was told that they would be sending a replacement and just to call back if the original order were to somehow get back to me. It meant a lot that they noticed the order hadn't arrived and that they called and planned to resolve the issue so that I could get what I ordered. I will gladly visit and order from The Chocolate Express again!

IF I COULD RATE ZERO STARS I WOULD. RUDE. RUDE. RUDE! 😤 They are now requiring masks. I don’t personally wear one but am willing to comply with business who ask and provide one. I didn’t even make it into the door before some PSYCHO employee starts yelling at me to put my mask on. With everyone else in the business staring at me I politely told her I didn’t have one. She then SCREAMS at me “I DONT HAVE ONE TO GIVE YOU SO GET OUT!” I mean just WOW. I will never reconsider entering this establishment again after this encounter which is sad as I always buy when I’m in town for myself and as gifts. It’s not the principle of the mask to be clear. It is completely about the ABSURD ATTITUDE of the staff. I am going to be sure to tell all my friends and everyone I know about this in hope to discourage them from having the same GHASTLY encounter with the mentally unstable...

My family was in Blue Ridge for some tubing down the river and a cabin stay. Before leaving my dad recommended this chocolate shop. I went in and saw the variety of chocolate truffles behind the displays. I enjoy dark chocolate and had to get a box. 16 dark chocolate raspberry truffles, 16 dark chocolate Expresso truffles and 4 blueberry truffles (they were a bit bigger)

Service was good. Helped me in a timely manner after my dad made his selection of fudge.

The chocolates were so good. The Expresso flavor was great, but the raspberry and blueberry were amazing.

I'm coming back, because I owe a friend some good chocolates. Also because I do not trust ordering them...
