We checked in late one night in the middle of the week after a long day of traveling. We were tired from traveling and just wanted a clean bed for a night. We had some pretty bad luck at one of the other local motels and decided this place was worth the extra money. We tried calling first to make a reservation and the night shift didn't answer. We pulled up to the front doors and they were locked (security is run tight). After a few minutes of waiting the front desk night clerk called us back, and was very apologetic for missing our call. Without delay he got us into a king bed suite for a reasonable price. The room was clean and well sanitized. The king size bed was comfortable and we liked the fact they had so many extra pillows. When we woke up in the morning we checked out the breakfast and were pleasantly surprised that the selection included hot food like scrambled eggs, waffles, sausage and bacon. There were pastries and a large selection of bread to make sandwiches with. They had several drink options from coffee, tea, juices and water. Overall the breakfast was a highlight for us since we travel across the country and stay at several hotels that advertise free breakfast and then one of two things happen 1) their selection is all packaged food or 2) they just don't have breakfast at all. Big thanks to this team for actually caring about your patrons. there is no I in this team You All should be proud of yourselves. I wanted to extend my Google 360 Services to the owners of this hotel. I am a Google certified 360 Photographer and can come into your hotel and take 360 photos for your Google page. This is a great opportunity to provide virtual tours to prospective guests who want to see your facilities before they book a stay.

My stay is July 5-7, 2025 The room is a King with hot tub. The hotel is very nice, looks clean and well maintained. The staff is super friendly. This hotel allows pets. I am allergic to dogs. That is why we have the hot tub room, pets aren't allowed in this room other than trained service animals. The hot tub room was only slightly more expensive; if it had been a lot more, I would have demanded a refund due to the drain being broken on the hot tub, rendering it useless. (UPDATE/EDIT) It turns out that the drain isn,t broken, it was removed because the water would not shut off to it completely. My biggest complaint is that despite the fact that it looks so clean, the room smells musty, which I believe is from the contual running water in a non-vented room. The room is huge and the staff turns the little air conditioner up to a higher temperature to save energy, which doesn't dissipate the moisture. We informed the staff about this issue and were told that their maintenance staff had already gone home. She further made it sound as if they were unaware of the issue, but two things refute that, 1) the fact that the drain stopper had been removed to prevent the water from filling the tub, 2) the fact that as a plumbing contractor, I can assure you that the water stains shown in the accompanying pictures, do not happen overnight. I have spent a lot more money on a lot worse rooms. I would definitely stay here again.

I am an experienced traveler (stayed at easily over 1000 N.American hotels in the past 10 years) and I could not find one single thing wrong with this hotel or its staff. NOT ONE. OK, so check-in, with Allison - she was a true gem! Funny, polite and helpful! Our room? Ahhh! AMAZING! I don't think we've ever been in a room this large before. It felt luxurious! We'd been on the road for a while and this was the first stay that actually felt like a VACATION and not a travel-chore. Wifi was fast, tv had plenty of options, plenty of hot water for the tub. The next day, Mark or Mike, also really nice as well as the breakfast attendants...oh, BREAKFAST? Let me tell ya: bagels, toast, waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, fruit...all clean, hot, fresh, topped up and carefully attended by a woman (didn't catch her name) who was really working hard with an emphasis on cleanliness and food safety. We enjoyed the visit so much that we decided on a whim to stay a second night. If you're in the area for the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway (as we were), this was a fine location to stay at so you can ride the train. Thank you to the entire team because honestly - yours was the BEST stay of our entire multi-week trip!

First the good, the front desk clerk made check in a breeze! She was as helpful as she could be with my request. It was busy, but she stayed cool. I love the lemon water in the lobby! Most Comfort properties have this, but not all. Breakfast was spot on, both days. Property was clean inside and outside! Now the not so good. We decided to stay two nights so we would not have to pack and unpack the truck. This location was somewhat central to our activities. However our first room had many unpleasant issues - the fan on the heater ran on high ALL NIGHT! Had to sleep with a pillow over my head to get some quiet. We were very tired an in our pj's when we realized this. Why not call the front desk? The phone in our room did not work! Then the next morning the toilet clogged. Had to dress, go down to front desk and ask for a plunger. Front desk guy did say he could get maintenance to fix it.....later. Really? So we had to pack up the room and move to another room. UGH. While the front desk guy said he would give us a suite for the same cost. We were not impressed with the 'suite.' Low lighting in sitting area. Computer desk was still in bed area. Only one TV, so you could see it from the bed or the sitting area, not really both. We requested an extra luggage rack for the first room and carried it to the second room. Good thing as the 'suite' had NO luggage rack. The first room was not worth what we paid, especially considering we had to pack up and move. Did I say how AWESOME the lady at the front desk was??? So sorry I cant...
