🌍 My First International Trip: Into the Heart of American History Under Boston’s Golden Dome
Visiting the Massachusetts State House in Boston was nothing short of breathtaking! 🌟 This was my very first trip abroad, and exploring such a historic landmark with a diverse group of travelers from around the world made it even more special.
The free guided tour, led by an incredibly charming lady in her 80s, brought the building’s history to life. Walking through the very halls where leaders debate and shape the future of Massachusetts was an unforgettable experience.
The architecture, designed by Charles Bulfinch in the late 1700s, is a masterpiece of Federal style. The golden dome, originally sheathed in copper by Paul Revere’s company and later gilded with real gold leaf, gleams as a symbol of Boston’s heritage. Inside, every corner tells a story — from the Senate and House Chambers to the Nurses’ Hall and the extraordinary Revolutionary War paintings.
One of my favorite highlights was the Flag Hall, which proudly displays over 400 historic flags. The thoughtful system used to identify and organize them was fascinating and truly showcased the pride of Massachusetts’ military history.
If you’re visiting Boston, I highly recommend adding the State House to your itinerary. It’s not just a tour — it’s a journey through American history, politics, and art, all under one...
Read moreOur State House is so beautifully redone and built with prestige and magnificent art and structure. I was right at home in this mansion of mansions. The inside is massive and would take you 3 - 5 days to explore fully. The library was interestingly small and easy to browse, but because I was with my teenage daughter, whom I homeschooled, I really couldn't stay as long as I would've liked to since this was her field trip and not mine. There was a large group of protesters assembling about 50 feet from the House of Representatives, which was closed off by security, so it was pretty loud in that area. Entering the building was easy, and security was very professional and thoughtful. I enjoyed the Senator reading study hall. Seeing that they sit in a circle to have their discussions is a pleasant sight. The Nurse's and Doric Hall were my favorites because the information was packed in one area you could ponder. We ended our visit by exiting from the bottom level and going out to the small park on the side of the State House to have lunch. I can finally proclaim that I've enjoyed this field trip more than...
Read moreI spoke with a rep of Adam Scanlon Bristol County today with issues I had over a crime wave that apparently coincides with a Migrant hotel that was set up in Best Stay Inn in North Attleboro, I was told they where responding to emergency so with our money they harbored these unvetted migrant here in town and brought drugs, violence and anarchy here, the emergency should have to been to stop their party from allowing catch release and have migrants wait at the boarder until they are vetted, instead they shipped them across the country into our states around our children with no regard to their safety or anyone else's, this has been massive wake up call to all of us, because the results have been disastrous and irreparable, esp. to victims of these crimes, protecting us and our children should have been the emergency instead it was rushing these people mostly criminals into the interior of country around our children, the emergency should have been our children's but no foreign invading criminals was their priority, have no doubt our children are expendable for votes and...
